In Your Pain, There is Purpose (Motivation for Monday)

Maxi_skirt

Every Monday on this blog, I write to encourage and inspire you to be who you were called to be and I do that by sharing my own story repeatedly and truthfully highlighting why I started the things I do now, what I have achieved, where I am now and where I truly want to go. Today is not different because I will be sharing to encourage you. As I finished servicing my Facebook page last Saturday, Facebook fed me with this powerful post I felt truly connected with and I thought to share it with you. So, today’s motivation is half mine and half someone else’s. I will be sure to credit the original writer – Temi Koleowo…..

HOW TO TRANSITION TO AUTUMN WITH SUMMER WARDROBE

I still have some amazing Summer pieces I would love to share with you with some incredible styling TIPS as always but I wanted to start preparing for the new season as the weather continues to change. A friend sent me a message this morning saying it is raining and cold in London. Are you in London, please share your thoughts about the London weather now in the comments below.  For now, let’s talk about this look and some styling TIPS, shall we?

How to Take Measurements & Determine Your Body Type

One of the attendees of my previous Masterclasses told me one of the reasons she couldn’t wear nice clothes is because she doesn’t understand or know her body. I told her she recognises the problem already and then we took up the challenge from there and together we were able to solve all her problems.

For any women to dress well, she has to understand the body she is in. She has to understand her silhouette, body type and proportions and then go ahead to start buying clothes that works.

2 WAYS TO STYLE A COLOUR-BLOCK TUNIC

Jeans is a down time wear for most people but for me, tunics and dresses are my go to down time wear. They are easy to throw on and go. You can run errands with them, go shopping with them, wear them on a very warm Summer day, wear them on a summer night with heels and if you have mastered the art of maximising, you can wear them in the Winter with tall boots and turtle neck layered with a coat.

YOUR JOURNEY MAY SEEM EASY NOW (Motivation for Monday)

Remember I wrote a blog called Trust Your Journey a while ago. In that blog, I shared the importance of embracing your own life’s journey in totality, authentically and that come what may, to never give up.

Can I be totally honest with you? See, every motivation blog I have ever written was influenced by a life’s experience. I like to write from real life experiences because we learn from experience and then people can relate to those things better because they are real.  Today, I am writing the blog as always from real life experience and this one is called, “Your Journey May Seem Easy Now”

YOU ARE A BRAND TOO (Motivation for Monday)

As a Writer and Fashion Aficionado who also happens to inspire, encourage and motivate other people to become who they truly want to be irrespective of their circumstance, sex and age, I also spend a lot of time researching and  watching great contents that can help me be better at what I do. So, last week, I saw this video where Editor-in-chief Edward Enninful of British Vogue sat down to interview Oprah Winfrey. In that interview, I learnt a few pointers and I will be sharing some of that with you today on Motivation for Monday.

HOW TO STYLE THE CUT-OUT BLOUSE

When it comes to my personal style, I am not a cleavage revealing kind of girl. However, I love to show off my beautiful brown shoulders and my neckline. And because I also love me some cut out blouses, I decided to share another one in look book with you today.

More so, I recently featured a cut out blouse in one of the styling I did recently and a few people “raised eyebrows”. Some said, they couldn’t wear it because it was too open (revealing) for them. So, in today’s post, I will be sharing how to wear the cut out blouse with you….

SILENT EVERYTHING & LISTEN TO YOU (Motivation for Monday)

It is not so obvious but the same letters that spell the word silent actually spells the word listen. Let me list both words below and what they mean:

SILENT: not speaking. Silence can also mean the lack of audible sound, or the presence of sounds of very low intensity. The word silence can also refer analogously to any absence of communication or hearing, including in media other than speech and music

LISTEN: to make an effort to hear something; be alert and ready to hear something

Today on motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “silent everything and listen to you”

Natural Properties, Uses & Advantages of Shea Butter

I know many of you know Coconut oil and may have tried it at one stage or the other. While coconut oil is easily accessible and can be bought over the shelf even in your local stores, it is possible that you are buying one that is not raw or processed. Another all natural product that is not only good for your skin but for hair, lips and body is Shea Butter.  In this post, I will be sharing all you need to know about the Shea Butter with you.

Audacity to Go After Your Dreams (Motivation for Monday)

How will it make you feel if you take a bold step and go after the life you want? How would it make you feel if after thinking about something, you just don’t stop there but go ahead and make that thing happen for yourself? How excited would it be for you if right before your very eyes, what you have always dreamed about comes to pass? For example, pass that exam, launch that business, move to another city, ask that girl or boy out or whatever it is it you want? How would that make you feel?

Today on Motivation for Monday, I am writing to encourage you on what I call, “Audacity to Go After Your Dreams”

The More You Do Anything (Motivation for Monday)

If you have ever wondered what the name of this blog – Moj In Touch means, here you go…..It simply means MOJ from my name and IN TOUCH from the situation I found myself.

So, IN TOUCH in my world simply means to be IN TOUCH with who you really are irrespective of your circumstance or status (single, married, mum, dad, unemployed, redundant or broke etc). Being in touch also means, even if your circumstance or status changes, your life goals, vision, aspirations and desires don’t have to change.

Today on motivation for Monday, I am writing to encourage on what I call, “The More You Do Anything”….

Christian Louboutin Pigalle & Cornielle Review

If you don’t know before now, I love shoes. Now you know 🙂 I am a shoe lover. I have always been. I know my mum would always say to my Sister and I that we are tall already, so we don’t need high heels. I do not only love shoes, I love high heels…..

And what is not to love about shoes – high heels especially. They make you stand tall, walk elegantly and complete your look, even without a purse / bag. The magic in wearing high heels is to ENSURE you choose a heel height that is comfortable for you and ensure they fit well. Today, I will be reviewing the Christian Louboutin Pigalle and Cornielle. This is a requested blog.

Be True to You (Motivation for Monday)

If is possible for someone to look at me and tell me the things I want to hear even when I know they are not telling the truth. It is possible for me to allow anyone to lie to me because I just want a feel good factor or a pick me up. It is also possible for me to know the truth and keep waving it away because I can’t be true to myself, just for not being true to myself. I like to put it this way, anyone can lie to you BUT If you lie to yourself, you are your own greatest enemy…..

Today on motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “Be True to You”

How to Wear Black in the Summer

Black is not a colour many wear during the warmer months or Summer. Let’s face it, after wearing so much black during the Winter to keep warm, many of us tend to gravitate towards colours – bright, bold and beautiful in the Summer. However, there are exceptions to wearing black in the Summer. With a very well detailed blouse like this, bring on black for Summer….

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY + GIORGIO ARMANI SÌ PASSIONE REVIEW

I shared a little clip of this review on my Instagram page 2 days ago and I am truly honoured about your kind comments and feedback on how well the video was made. Thank you also for your congratulatory messages on our wedding anniversary. Today 26/06, my husband and I celebrate our 15th year wedding anniversary. We are grateful indeed.

It is true that after you’ve have been with someone for a while, you start to think and behave like them. I can say it is true because Efe and I now have so many things in common like – we are both home buddies .i.e. we do not like to go out a lot,  we are truly passionate about giving (I learnt this from my Parents and husband), we love the same smell and fragrances and so many other things, except FOOD. He loves food, I don’t….. 🙂

Well, all that by the way, let’s check out the review of this gorgeous fragrance – Giorgio Armani SÌ Passione. I choose this one as my fragrance for this year’s anniversary and YES, he would be wearing it with me too….

FROM THE EYES OF A CHILD (Motivation for Monday)

I try very much to use practical approaches when I create this motivation blogs. I try to share my own story as much as I can, not to brag but to inspire you to be YOU and do you. I also share from other people’s experience if I won’t violate their privacy in any way…..

Today’s motivation is no different because I am going to be using a real life instance and I call this one from the eyes of a child.

Paper Bag Pants ::: The Perfect Summer Work Wear

When I went to Lagos, I was very strategic in the types of pieces I brought with me. I wanted pieces that I could wear stylishly and are practical for the heat as it is always very hot in Nigeria….

This pants / trouser was one of the pieces I brought with me and I wore it twice during my stay. One time to a meeting on a project we were working on with open toe sandals and the other time, to run errands. Today, I am styling this pants for work….

YOUR SISTER’S KEEPER (Motivation for Monday)

Every Monday for the past 4 years, I have come up with contents that would motivate, inspire, empower and encourage you to be who you want to be irrespective of the circumstances you may be faced with or surrounded by or issues of life that may be giving you that limiting mindset to still go out there and do what you have to do to be who you truly want to be. I come out here and say, “YOU CAN DO IT”. I turned myself to your “Cheerleader of dreams” while working on being who I was called to be too.

However, in the past couple of weeks, I have been very worried because we have had instances of suicide yet again. Not that suicide is good for anyone but one that was truly shocking to us all was that of the owner of the fashion brand, Kate Spade. Ms Spade was said to have committed suicide at age 55. The question is, what could have caused this?

HOW TO LOOK TALLER + THE DOPEST DRESS EVER

One of the style philosophies I live by is, “it is not how much you pay for an item BUT how well you wear the item”. Today’s look befits that philosophy…..

This dress is the “best thing since slice bread”….. I love the dress and I have worn it 3 times already since it was delivered to my door. Let’s check it out + some styling TIPS.

HANG ON, YOUR REWARD IS COMING (Motivation for Monday)

I know we all have those days when all we want to do is NOTHING, even though we have so much to do. Sometimes, this feeling goes on for a day or two. After a day or two, we still don’t feel like doing anything. Meanwhile, there is lots to do. I totally get it. I understand. This kind of feelings happen a lot of times when we have put in all we think we can BUT can’t seem to see any results, green light or breakthroughs……
