WHO IS A COACH & DO YOU NEED ONE? (Motivation for Monday)

Having “failed” before because I didn’t know what to do on my own and I didn’t seek help from those who know, I encourage everyone never to suffer in silence. If you don’t know what to do after trying all you can, ASK for help. This is the way forward. It is okay not to know what to do but not asking for help shouldn’t be an option be it in business, relationship, career, education, training or with life issues in general.

Following different requests I have received about the subject “Coach”, today, I bring you a motivation blog called, Who is a Coach and Who needs a Coach? + How to Choose the Best Coach for You.

As I prepared for my exams over the holidays, I took on my first two premium “mentees”. They were launching blogs and businesses and needed my help on how to get online – create questionnaires, coin business “terms” together and market products online, send business emails, attract the right clients and on and on….

Sincerely, I didn’t want to take anyone on at the time because I wondered, how on earth would I be able to combine wearing a “mentor’s” hat with exams? BUT? I was confident that I could make it work and so I cracked on….

LET THEM SAY (Motivation for Monday)

Realistically whether good or bad, people would always have an opinion of us. A lot of times, this happens because the expectations of others of us may not be what who we are or how we want to live our lives. Unfortunately, when we do not conform to what people expects of us, we may not be their biggest fan and or they may not like us or what we do. Today on motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “let them say”.

IN EVERYTHING, BE THANKFUL (Motivation for Monday)

December is best known for Christmas. A time when many of us look forward to spending quality time with the ones we love. While some of us have people we love to spend quality time with, some of us do not. Also, research has shown that December is a time when a lot of us feel disappointed, discouraged, hopeless, heart broken, lonely, broke, broken and so much more.

Today, I am writing to you to encourage you that no matter what you are going through or no matter how “poor” you are feeling, please, in EVERYTHING be thankful.

USE WHAT YOU HAVE (Motivation for Monday)

Every time we make babies, a year later, we celebrate their birth. Although I have 2 biological children, today, I celebrate the birth of my “baby”- “Use What You Have”. It’s been a year since this purpose book was born. I am grateful indeed to God for such a gift. I am not only going to share the birthday of this book with you but to encourage you and also to celebrate ME for how far I have come on this journey called purpose. Please read.

WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH (Motivation for Monday)

I have now come to a stage in life whereby the time I do the most is when the going gets tough. The old me would say something like, “this is too hard, I can’t be bothered” or “I can’t ‘kill’ myself” or “I just can’t do it” and on and on. These days, the time I put in my very best is when the going gets tough for me. WHY? This is because I have now realised that the end- result is where the treasure lies. If you like, call it light at the end of the tunnel. Today on motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “when the going gets tough”

As a Blogger (Fashion Blogger), a lot of people see my life as perfect. WHY? Let me speak from the angle of clothes….. When people (especially people back at home) see the “fine photos” I share featuring those “fine clothes”, they automatically assume that I have it all. Although I am very grateful for where I am, behind the scenes of how I got here is what nobody knows but me……

Today on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call behind the scene.

YOU CAN DO IT (Motivation for Monday)

At one stage or the other in our lives, we all have come up with one thing or the other we think we can do to change our lives or propel our lives forward. We come up with this great concept, vision or idea and then, we fail to follow through because we feel we can’t do it. We come up with all kinds of excuses in the books just not to do anything about that dream….

Today on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “you can do it”

The worst “enemy” they say is the one inside. When the enemy within doesn’t live anymore, a lot of times, the “enemies” around us have less effect or power on us. What am I saying?

When we are at peace within ourselves or let me put it this way: when our mind is in the RIGHT PLACE, no matter what anyone else says or do to us, about us behind our backs, it won’t have any effect on us. However, when we are NOT at peace within ourselves, the slightest movement of someone we think does not like us becomes suspicious to us. We overthink everything; we assume no one likes us; we fight battles that we shouldn’t be fighting; we live in regret, guilt and a lot of times, we are sad, sorrowful and stuck. YEP, when we are not at peace within ourselves, we become stuck……this is because we “fight” unnecessary battles……….

WHEN YOU KNOW YOUR STUFF (Motivation for Monday)

Looking, Listening, Reflecting or Thinking (in a good way), Standing Still and listening more are good qualities every one should learn to have. Those qualities give you a clear insight to what you are not sure about and a lot of times, they give you solution to what may be a problem.

No wonder, Maya Angelou says, “It is in the stillness of your heart that you hear the voice of God”. What that simply means is that when we rush, rush and rush through life, we get too busy to hear anything, even if it is the voice of God.

Today on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “When You Know Your Stuff”.

IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS (Motivation for Monday)

I know you must have heard that saying that says, what we do today is what determines what we become tomorrow. YES, whatever it is you do today is what determines the outcome of your future. That sounds harsh but that is the reality of life.

Remember I wrote a blog recently called, This Time Last Year. In that blog, I shared the importance of time and that you should never waste it and WHY you must embrace your purpose-journey.

Today, I want to ask you and encourage you about what I called, “In the next 10 years”

WHAT DO YOU WANT? ASK! (Motivation for Monday)

I needed a job and so, I applied for one. The employers liked my CV and they brought me in for an interview. The interview went well, now I have a job! This simple “analogy” I did here is simply ASKING……

When we ask, we receive, when we seek,we find and when we knock the door would be opened unto us. These words are true but a lot of times, a lot of us don’t even bother asking, seeking or knocking. Why? Today on Motivation for Monday, I ask you, what do you want?

I was excited as the Installer of the brand new washing machine I bought knocked on the door because I haven’t done laundry for about 10 days. You know not doing laundry for 10days is long, when you have children. My thought was, thank God, I can finally get laundry out of the way before we pile on more clothes.

As excited as I was about the arrival of the washing machine, I never knew that a mere washing machine would teach me life lessons. In today’s post, I want to encourage you with these life lessons……

If you are following me on Facebook, you probably saw the post I shared about the Fenty beauty by Rihanna. If you missed it, in the post, I shared that I watched a couple of the reviews of the Fenty Beauty on YouTube and from the reviews, I came to the conclusion that the products are good. This post is NOT about Fenty Beauty BUT on how we can use social media in a positive way and doing the right thing at the right time + WHY we must all be creators.

Change they say is a constant thing and in life, we have to be open to change. In her book, Mindset, Dr Carols Dweck, a Professor of Psychology, describes those who are NOT open to change as ones with a fixed mindset. These set of people hate to try new things, they hate change or challenges and if possible they would not change anything even if the thing does not serve it’s purpose or work anymore…….

Today, on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on something I call, Go Out, Magic Happens Outside!

True leadership is leading by example I believe. If as leaders, we are out there inspiring others to do better and be better, it is important that we ourselves are not left behind in doing better so as to be better than who we are today……

I give my all in making those inspiring and motivation videos and while I do so, I never forget to apply all of those tips I share to my life too so I am not only dishing out but taking in as well, if you know what I mean. And because I believe I could do so much more than I am doing now, I set a challenge for myself this week to make a video a day. Of course I know this wasn’t going to be easy, still I did it….

As a writer, I challenge my imagination to write different types of blogs. I write fashion, beauty, lifestyle and motivation and more…Not only do I write, I read a lot too. Okay now, once upon a time, I used to think that I do not have the time to READ. I was one of those ones who said things like, once I leave school, that is it, I would never read again. Sounds familiar? I know some of you reading this may have that mindset too 🙂 Not to worry, we all learn daily, only when we give ourselves the chance to learn…..

If you are one of the ones who say things like, once I finish school, I will never read/study again, you are basically saying, I want to stop growing because the day we stop learning or acquiring knowledge, we stop growing or we start dieing…

Today on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage on something I call, draw the line. Let’ do this……..

August was a month of new beginnings, growth and transition for me. I did some things I have never done before, I created a new course to help Bloggers and my older child started secondary school. Although there was more memorable things, those 3 were my highlight and I am thankful indeed for everything.

How was August for you? Would love to know, please share. Also, I want to take this moment to welcome you to September and wish you the very best with it. I am excited and looking forward to greater things in September please God. I hope you are too. Please, be positive, be prayerful and be hopeful. All shall be well with you.

EARLY RISERS (Motivation for Monday)

I do not buy newspapers BUT I am subscribed to the newspaper of the county where I live so I can read local news and learn what is going on in my community and country.  Since the results of the leaving certs is now out, I was on the look out for that news…I checked out all articles written on the leaving cert specifically to check this year’s performance. As I looked, I saw a girl from one of the county’s who did really well, the girl power in me would not let me notice the boys first. Sorry boys. As I looked further, I saw another headline that says, “the boy with the highest possible score in this year’s leaving cert”. What the boy said in the papers made sense and because I was inspired by it,  I bring you, early risers.

INSIDE THE COOKIE JAR (Motivation for Monday)

If you are a constant to the motivation for Monday on Moj In Touch, you may have read the one I called, “Don’t Blame the Coach“. If you missed it, please check it out, you would learn the importance of taking responsibility for your life and more……..Today, I am taking you on a slightly different journey that I like to call “Inside the cookie jar”! When I got to the University, university of Ibadan to be precise. University if Ibadan (UI) is Nigerian’s premier university and I am privilege to have attended such a tertiary institution. So, when I was in the university, I ate so much cookies. The ones I loved a lot were Maryland cookies. I loved them so much, I made up my mind that when I grew up and started working and have my own money and home (goals), I would have a massive cookie jar where I would store my Maryland cookies and eat which ever amount I wanted when I wanted them. Unfortunately, before I finished uni, I stopped liking Maryland cookies, I stopped eating them all together…..Like, I said earlier on, today, I would like to encourage you in what I call, “Inside the Cookie Jar”

THIS TIME LAST YEAR (Motivation for Monday)

I am writing as I travel on the train this morning and I couldn’t help but to reflect on exactly what I was doing this time last year. This time last year, I was on a flight to England and to keep me busy, I was writing the second draft of my first book, Use What You Have. Use What You Have is a book I wrote on HOW to discover your gifts (purpose), how to own them, embrace them and HOW to fulfill your purpose in life by using your GIFTS.

Although I go to England often, on that particular occasion, I went to England to be with one of my best friends who was having her first baby. In the next few days, I will be back to be with the same friend to join her in the celebration of the birthday of this child that was born this time last year……

Have you ever wondered why all of a sudden, you stop seeing some people as often as you would normally see them? You just notice that you don’t see them as much as you would. They are well, they are alive BUT you just don’t see them anywhere from social circle to parties or in places you would normally see them? Today on motivation for Monday, I bring you the true meaning of purposeful isolation.

The first half of the year is now over! In case you don’t understand what that simple line means, it means that JANUARY to JUNE 2017 is gone and it’s gone forever and we will never see those months again. However, we have the whole of July – December of 2017 to do GREAT things. Today on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you to RISE AGAIN. What does this mean?
