One of the style philosophies I live by is, “it is not how much you pay for an item BUT how well you wear the item”. Today’s look befits that philosophy…..
This dress is the “best thing since slice bread”….. I love the dress and I have worn it 3 times already since it was delivered to my door. Let’s check it out + some styling TIPS.
Outfit of the Day!
For my look today, I was wearing this gorgeous striped dress with mustard heels for colour contrast and accent and to finish my look, I opted for gold accessories – watch, earrings and toe ring. I am wearing toe rings again this Summer. I haven’t worn them now for a while.
I was Wearing: Zara Dress | Fabrizio Vitti Heels | H&M Earrings | Michael Kors Watch
Fashion TIPS Today!
This dress was a very thought about design with the belt placed right in the centre of the tummy. I love that you can use the belt on the dress to accentuate the waist line, just like I did with my styling and this makes the dress perfect for just anyone – different shapes and sizes. With a dress like this, you can flatter your tummy, in simple words, you can use that belt to make your tummy area look slimmer or very well “stream-lined”
The Vertical Stripes on the Dress
One of the reasons why I also love this dress very much is that the dress has vertical stripes .i.e the stripes goes from up to down or down to up if you like. Ideally when stripes goes from up to down on a dress like this one, it makes you look slimmer and taller. If you are looking to create the illusion of height, a vertical stripe dress like this is way to go. Although I am tall already, I feel and look taller wearing this dress…..
The Versatility of the Dress
The versatility of a dress like this is also why I like it. When I wore this dress to that event I attended in London, I rolled up the sleeve to give it that casual-dress vibe (see picture below). I am hopeful to wear this dress again soon with my Puma Basket Heart Sneakers with some cropped jacket or something.
The dress would also be good with a tall boots for colder season like I did in this look
I do hope you like the look and the styling TIPS and I also hope you get to style you own look whichever way you like. Have fun styling your own look. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
