So what do you do when you are not sure what you hope for may never come or what do you do when you think Christmas is going to be crap already? Still not sure of……..
Motivation for Monday ::: Don’t Worry About Anything!
Anyone who has ever had an event would understand how “crazy” it can be to put one together. Coming to the book launch, I was extremely busy running errands and praying that everything goes out well. Aside all the running around, I was very afraid of one thing……what if people don’t show up…..this was my major fear! Why was I afraid? It was because a few people I was hopeful to see sent me messages that they will not be able to attend.
Then I started wondering, what if people don’t come. I almost had a nervous break down. Although I was scared, I started praying and my faith was strengthened and God gave me a word……….
As I knelt down praying in the early hours of Saturday morning, I heard in my spirit, don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
As soon as that word dropped in my mind, I felt some sort of relief. Later in the day, I was doing the last round of cooking because I was expecting family from the UK. Suddenly, my phone rang and it was one of my older friends and she said to me, I just want to tell you not to worry about tomorrow that all will be well. She said I was praying and I felt you were worried. I said yes, I was worried but not anymore……
When I finished speaking to this friend of mine, I was lifted and all my worry was gone because God confirmed what he said to me through someone else. I became cheerful and thankful for the following day which was the book launch.
Why am I telling you that? I am because this time of the year is very special. It is special because it is Christmas. Although it is a very special and joyous season, a lot of people will be weary because of one thing or the other…… It could be being broke, can’t get what they want or need, don’t have family to spend this special season with, not sure there will be food on the table at Christmas, a relative has died and it could be anything.
Honestly, it may be a challenging time for me too because my nephew who died recently was born on Christmas day. I am not sure how I will get by but I will be holding on to that word, “don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all He has done. In this case, I will be praying for peace and comfort for myself and especially my brother and his wife and my mother.
Are you out there this Christmas season; weary that this will be a bad one for you or do you think you may be lonely or your don’t have a place to call home or your friends and family are not close by or are you heart broken, your loved one left you or you are not sure if there will be a meal for you at Christmas or anything at all, I want to encourage not to worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all He has done. You may even be wondering that you do not have anything to be thankful for? The gift of life is worth thanking God for, the breath in you is worth been thankful for……..
The one thing I have now realised in life is that in thanksgiving, we receive more. I was there wondering how the book launch was going to be and if people would show up….on the day, I was blown away by the turn out. We packed 100bags, everything was gone and we were left with just 20 books. Worry didn’t change the situation for me. Prayer of thanksgiving did. Will you be brave enough to pray? Please do, prayer works.
No matter what you are going through this season, please be courageous. Pray and thank God for what He has done and in thanksgiving, pray for what you want and you will be surprised at what He can do for you. In most cases, God wants us to ask Him and He will answer us. Please don’t worry, all shall be well with you this season. No matter what you are going through, trust me, all shall be well.
Now say this with me……all shall be well with me this season. Do me a favour, please say this to 3 people before the week runs out, all shall be well with you……this may just be the only thing they need to hear this season. 🙂
OUTFIT OF THE DAY :::: CHRISTMAS COLOURS ::: GOLD, GREEN & RED
Claire is away in Belgium but before she left, she managed to do a few shots with me and this was one of the looks we did. This is a Christmas look book and one that can be worn to any Christmas party.
For this look, I wanted to showcase christmas colours in my look. The classic christmas colours are red, green and gold and in this look, I managed to do that….I paired a pencil skirt with an oversized sleeve blouse and to cinch in the waist, I wore a thin belt which I stretched open to mimic my sandal and bracelet and that is the outfit of the day.
This look is perfect for Christmas work parties, romantic christmas dinner with the bae or anywhere you want to look classy and polished.
Fashion TIP Today!
One of my goal via this blog is to be able to teach as many people as possible how to maximise their closet and with this look, I was able to showcase maximizing. What this means is that for this look, I didn’t buy anything new.
The skirt, I have worn here and here. The blouse I have worn here and here and the Shoes, I have worn here and here.
Looking well is not about buying new things all the time, it is knowing how to shop your closet and wearing what you already own. Having said that, it is okay to shop whenever you want.
Have fun styling your own look and maximizing your closet.
Details of the Look!
I was wearing……….
Zara Caged Booties // Rimmel London Kate Nail Polish // H&M Belt & Bracelets // H&M trend blouse // Full Circle Skirt

I was just talking about stress and worry with a really good friend of mine. And we both agreed that constantly worry does you no good, nor does it rectify the situation. If anything it’s just wasted energy and yet we do it all the time. Thank you for this post and the reminder to give thanks daily for all the good in our life. Also the good things that are to come.
By the way, you look fabulous in green and the touches of gold are perfect.
Hope you’re having a great week.
