Happy New Week and Happy New Month to you My Lovelies.
Todays look is all about the complimentary colours. Complimentary colours are colours that are on the opposite sides of each other on the colour wheel. In this case, the two complimentary colours are yellow and purple. Another example of the complimentary colours are green and red.
For this look, I matched two complimentary colours(yellow and purple) with camel(the pants are camel but they look almost like yellow). The denim was last seen here.
As you can see from the photos, I wore a brown turtle neck under the blouse not only to keep me warm but also to have a little bit of contrast on the blouse so its not too “matchy matchy” with the denim. Also the idea of the turtle neck is to layer up. You keep warm better when you layer up lighter pieces unlike when you wear just one chunky knit.
I finished up the look with black tall boots. A dark brown boots will also work perfectly with this look. I just wanted to play with contrast. To hold all my essentials, I have my quilted bag handy.
Details: bubble sleeves on the blouse, button details from the turtle neck’s sleeves and the quilted bag. I wanted the turtle neck’s sleeve to be like a continuation of the blouse sleeve’s and I think it looks very much like so.
This look was inspired by mummy duties….school run. This is the typical me when dropping off the kids in school and running errands. Easy breezy look for running around. You can also sport this look for a casual lunch date, for horse riding and of course a walk in the park.
As always, thank you so much for stopping by . Do you like my colour blocking/complimentary colour look. Let me know please, leave me a comment below.
Wishing you a lovely week and fulfilling month in good health and peace.
Much Love, Mojisola.
