I had the honour of hosting a book launch and also reviewing one of two books in February and this was what I wore. It was a day to night event and the perfect opportunity to spot a sequin shirt.
Outfit of the Day!
For this look, I wore a sheer maxi skirt with a crisp white sequin shirt and finished my look with a pair of wedges and viola that is my look of the day.
This look is perfect for a day to night event like the book launch I attended or perfect for any occasion where you want to look on trend without looking like you tried at all.
Guess what? I got this shirt from the man’s rack at Zara. It states on the label, Zara Man. In my head, I thought it would be a perfect wear for a woman and so, I bagged it. I can’t wait to wear it in many different ways…

Sequin, A Trend to Try!
One of the trends to try this year is sequin in the day time. You can dress up your own sequin with a sheer maxi like I did here and you can dress it down with denim. Your sequin does not have to be a shirt. It could be a blazer, dress or a skirt. Whatever you do, have fun with your own sequin and in your own way too….
There are also a lot of fabrics in the market with sequin as accent on it. This is the type “my people” use as “aso-ebi”. For the sake of people who don’t know, aso-ebi is the kind of clothes wedding goers or party goers wear as “uniform”.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today and for reading.
So tell me, is sequin a day time trend you would try. Please share in the comments below. And if you would never wear sequin, of course, tell me why as well 🙂
