Black is the darkest hue in the colour spectrum and can be worn by all skin tone no matter how dark the person is. Think of Alek Wek, the legendary super model in an all black ensemble. Wek has one of the darkest skin tones in the world of modelling and when she wears black, she rocks it like its hot.
The truth is many people shy away from black, especially people of colour but I tell you, again, no matter how dark your skin is, you can rock black chic…..
If you have been following me for a while, you would know my story of been an excessively black wearer. Then I changed to not wearing black at all, wearing many very colourful ensemble and then now, I wear black again…in life the only constant thing is change. I tell you, no matter what season of life you are in, just HAVE FUN – with your style, food, travel, family, friends and much more…..
So, today, I bring you a new video on how to slay in black. In a less than two minutes video, check it out….
As you would see in the video, I mentioned that it was my first time of doing voice over of any kind. Life is like that, there is always a first time for everything. So, if you have never tried an all black ensemble, do give it a go and like I said above, do have fun with it.
One thing to consider when styling an all black ensemble is to mix a blend of different textures, for example, a mix of knit and silk or a blend of wool and knit, this approach makes your all black ensemble fun to wear.
