When it comes to formal work wear, there are limitations to what we can do because of the dress code rules we have to abide by or with. However, “twerking” what we wear to work in an unexpected way can add some fun and creativity to our looks. This is what I mean……..in all honesty, while pantyhose / tights are tagged a “requirement” in some professional scene or setting, wearing fish net tights is not necessarily professional to work. Am I wrong?
Outfit of the Day ::: Single Pleat Skirt, Gold Accent & Fish Net Tights
If you have been reading the blog for a long time, you know how much I adore the mix of black and gold….they look lush together. Lush meaning luxurious. You can wear this mix all season and to all occasion and for today, a work or meeting style……..
For my look today, I wore a single pleat skirt I first wore HERE with a gold accent high neck blouse / turtle neck and to continue the gold story on the look, I added a gold and black belt to the look. And to finish the look, I wore a fish-net tights and black patent leather high heels. For this look, you can also wear flats if you don’t like high heels.
Fashion TIP Today ::: Fish Net Tights / Panty Hose
Back to what I said above about professional work setting….while panty hose is a must for some businesses and organisation to look formal, plain ones can be boring. As a air hostess, you have to wear panty hose and as a Mary Kay Beauty Consultants, you have to wear them for example.
To twerk your look a little bit, a pair of fish net panty holes are just fine for work…..they are a lovely fashion statement. Ensure to choose ones with small size holes if you don’t want all eyes on you. The ones I have on are fish nets but you can barely tell except if you look so closely.
Also this season is a good time to have some fun with your work wear and any kinds of look. What better way to do that than to throw on some fish net panty hose 🙂
And on Gold Accent to an all Black Ensemble:
For an all black ensemble, try chipping in some gold because:
1, Gold looks very “lush” on black.
2, Gold pops against black more than any other colour because of the dark hue of black.
3, Gold compared to silver looks expensive even if it not real gold
4, Gold sits well on warm skin tone and on MOST women of colour
This is a quick work wear outfit of the day featuring a single pleat skirt, high neck blouse and gold accent. I do hope you enjoy it and are inspired by it as much as I loved sharing it with you. With all the restrictions and work wear codes to work wear, you can still have fun with your look….now have fun styling your own look.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today. I am always very excited to see you stop by. Wishing you a fantastic day today.
Much Love, Mojisola
