I often get questions like how can I add a pop of colour to an all black look ? On this blog, I will answer the question in full.
I am a black lover. I wear black but not all the time. Any time I do I love to wear an all black ensemble like the one I have on in this post.
I feel like an all black ensemble is so chic whether worn casually like I did here or whether worn dressed up like I did with this look.
What is pop of colour and how do you add a pop of colour to an all black look ?
Pop of colour is the addition of a hint of colour on your look. Your pop of colour could be vibrant (bold) and it could be subdued (subtle).
Adding a pop of colour to an all black ensemble is all about what you like. If you like your pop of colour to be on your heels, go for it, if your like your own to be on your lips, you can do that too.
Basically a pop of colour could be from your lips to your heels, this means your pop of colour could be any where from your head to your toe.
While a lot of people think that a pop of colour can only be red. I beg to differ and in my humble opinion, I think a pop of colour could be any strong colour you fancy. Think neon, cobalt blue, fuchsia etc.
In my last article where I reviewed my hair here, I mentioned that this hair was inspired by Tina turner. Since the hair was all about Ms Tina, I thought to create a look to go with it.
Today’s look is all about wearing an all black ensemble with my hair and lips as my pop of colour. Like I wrote earlier, your pop of colour could be anywhere from your lips to your heels.
I styled my pleated mini skirt with a turtle neck and cinched in my waist with a wide mesh belt and I finished the look with a mesh pair of ankle booties. I matched my boots to my belt really.
I love the gold accent on the belt. You can also consider a touch of gold on an all black ensemble not necessarily a pop of colour but a nice contrast to an all black ensemble. Gold is fab on black.
If you do not want to wear colour on your look, adding gold or any metal you fancy to your all black ensemble is another option.
See a nice touch of gold on this all black ensemble here.
This look here features work style all black ensemble with a touch of nude.
So anytime you wear an all black ensemble, go ahead and add any colour your fancy to your look from red to cobalt blue to neon pink etc. You can do bold red lips mixed with red nails, you can also do either of nails or lips.
Feel free to do what ever you fancy. It is your look, make it your own which ever way you are happy with.
So tell me, how do wear your pop of colour on your all black ensemble ? Would love to hear from you.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I am always very happy to see your here.
Wishing you a fantastic day and God bless.
Much Love, Mojisola.
