Happy Friday my lovelies! I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend.
I anchor a group on Face book called the Power Dressers where I share motivation, fashion and style with some amazing ladies from all over the world. Feel free to join us, you will love it there.
In the group, I got a request to share a styling featuring SHORTS for summer. That request was huge for me because if you know me well, I hardly ever wear shorts. If you read my post here, I shared the reason why, it was the way I was raised. However, I wear shorts at home which makes hubby super happy. He likes to see those long legs of mine.
I have also come to realise that in this journey I am on, flexibility is the only key to my style success so I thought to take the bull by the horn and shoot a look book featuring SHORTS.
For styling, I made it as simple as possible and in one of my favourite colours; cream. Cream and white are perfect for summer. I wanted the look to be clean and fresh so I came up with this monochrome number featuring my shorts and peter pan collar style shirt with wedges and flats.
Also because I am showing legs so much, I kept my upper body covered for balance. If you do not like to wear shorts, switch to a skirt like the one I wore here
Shorts & shirt are seperates by the way.
Shorts with Wedges
Fashion TIP today!
As you can see from the look book, the wedges actually blended well with my skin tone because that shade of nude matches my skin tone. If you want to create the illusion of longer legs, wear nude shoes (wedges, heels).
If you are like me and you do not need luck with lengthening your legs, you can go with the flats.
Shorts with Flats
Which of the above (flats or wedges) would you sport/wear and why. Let me know in the comments please.
By the way, anytime I use the title Dear MJ, it means the look was requested.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Wishing you a fantastic weekend filled with love, joy and peace.
I was wearing shorts & blouse from Zara // D&G watch // Zara flats // Marco Moreo wedges // Ysl sheer Candy lipstick (perfect nude for me).
