Hi Everyone, hope you are doing well and your week is going great.
Today’s look is all about simplicity and minimalism.
A minimal and understated look like this one can be classy and chic with the right accessories. When I put this look together, the thought on my mind was to be simple, clean and sleek. You can never go wrong with black and white be it in the winter or in the summer. Black and white goes all year round.
Most times I wear the darker shade of clothing as the bottom (skirt/trouser) but on this occassion, I decided to wear the lighter shade as the bottom which is this leather skirt. The last time I wore the skirt in my tough love post here, a lot of you thought it was a dress so I decided to restyle it ASAP.
This purple nail polish is from Boots No 7 collection. I got it for 4.99 euros with a Boots voucher I got off the counter when I got Calpol for the boys. This simply means fashion doesn’t have to be expensive to be chic. I can’t get over how long it lasted, if I can recall even with all the washing, cleaning and cooking, I got like 7 days wear out of it. I wore it with a top coat though. I will be wearing it a lot this season and I highly recommend it if you are interested in a budget friendly nail polish.
I also love the way the purple nail polish added a subtle pop of colour to this simple black and white look. In case you missed it the last time I said it in my post here, black and white goes with everything /every other colour.
I paired the skirt with a simple black turtle neck and accessorized with gold. I intentionally kept the top plain as I wanted the OVERSIZED BUCKLE on the belt to be the main accessory and I matched it with black suede pumps with the same oversized gold detail. I finished the look with a not so gold clutch, love the cracked detail effect on the clutch.
