Welcome! Hope you had a lovely weekend. I had a google hangout with some amazing ladies talking fashion. See replay here
Last sunday, I wore an all black outfit to church. I wanted to play a little “black out” even though it is still SUMMER. When in doubt, my default is always black. It is timeless. I added a statement belt/accent to the ensemble. As always, I call it adding definition/accentuating my waist. You can also add an accent with a statement jewelry. This look reminds me of Victoria Beckham 2012 AW collection. Here goes…..
The little black dress(LBD) is a wardrobe staple i.e. it is an essential in a functional wardrobe. You can watch my video on how I style my little black dress here
Gone are the days when an all black emsemble can only be worn to a funeral. In this time and age, an all black outfit is chic, dressy and can be worn to all occassions.
THE OUTFIT & ACCESSORIES
2 different looks that can be worn to different occassions.
LOOK 1: A LBD with a cinched-in detail on the waist, a pair of patent leather heels and a tote. This look can be worn to work, business meetings etc.
LOOK 2: A LBD with an oversized bow. I styled this look with a pair of bow detailed heels which is similar to the one on the dress and also a clutch with bow details. I call this “the bow personified” look.
You can add any colours of accessories to this looks and make it your own. Pearls, gold accents like I did with my own look, or anything you feel comfortable with.
Thank you much for stopping by. Let me know what you think, leave me a comment down below.
Wishing you a lovely week ahead and God’s blessings.
All styling is just a guideline, feel free to do whatever you are happy with. Good luck.
