I had the great honour of visiting Donegal in April where I saw in action how natural fibres are woven. It reminded me of the traditional hand weavers back at home. Sincerely, my face lit up when I saw that the process is same as it is back at home. Another thing that is getting me all excited now and also reminds so much of home is the womens wooden watches. Who would have thought that in 2017, wooden watches would be a thing?
If you know me well, you would know that I do not gamble when it comes to fashion. I like to stick with modern classics and simple elegance but these wooden watches are making me all excited. I will be jumping on the wagon of the wooden watches because they are all so gorgeous, modern and fresh with a touch of nature.
My recommendations when it comes to taking care of your wooden watches
1, Keep them Away From Water
Since they are made from wood, it is advisable to keep them away from water. When washing your hands after using the bathroom, take them off and wear them once you dry your hands; just like you would with any other watches.
2, Store them Well
For all of my watches except the one I wear daily, I store them in the cases they come in when I take them off. Storing your watches well prevents them from rubbing on other things and make them last longer.
3, Clean them Often
Just like you would any other jewelry, a little bit of cleaning and polishing with dry soft clothe will keep your wooden watches looking fine and smooth.
Those are some of the ways to keep your wooden watches safe, clean and long lasting. If you are looking for something new to try out this Summer and beyond, give the wooden watches a try. And like I said, I will be getting me one. My very favourite from the selection above is Carine and that is the one I will be getting.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by and for reading. Now tell me, do you fancy the wooden watches and will you be spotting them? Would love to read from you in the comments below.
