Having “failed” before because I didn’t know what to do on my own and I didn’t seek help from those who know, I encourage everyone never to suffer in silence. If you don’t know what to do after trying all you can, ASK for help. This is the way forward. It is okay not to know what to do but not asking for help shouldn’t be an option be it in business, relationship, career, education, training or with life issues in general.
Following different requests I have received about the subject “Coach”, today, I bring you a motivation blog called, Who is a Coach and Who needs a Coach? + How to Choose the Best Coach for You.
In my humble opinion, no matter how successful we are, we all need some sort of Mentors. BUT, do we need a Coach? In the video below, I shared the answer to this question a lot of people have been asking me about.
Who is a Coach?
A Coach is someone who has some expertise or experience in a specific areas and helps people on their journey to achieve specific goals. Think of football, the Coach is the one who cheers the players / footballers on to bring out the best in them so they can win for their team.
When we talk of Coaches in other areas, for example, there are Finance Coaches, they help people get disciplined in their finances and teach them money management and all things that has to do with maximising your resources (money). Just like there are Finance coaches, there are Coaches in other areas of life too. For example, Relationship Coaches, Business Coaches and on and on. Just like a Football Coach, Coaches in different areas cheer people on to be the best they can be, help people build confidence, help people get clarity, help support people to achieve specific goals amongst many things Coaches do….
Who is a Mentor?
A mentor is someone who influences us or someone we look up to. Someone whose lifestyle or habits we copy out of our own free will….
One of my favourite preachers, Sam Adeyemi defines a Mentor as someone we can look up to and not necessarily someone we pay.
Without further ado, today I answer the question,
Who is a Coach?
Does everyone need a Coach?
Who truly needs a Coach?
HOW to choose the best Coach for You
Who is a Mentor?
Who should have a Mentor?
Please watch, “Do you need a Coach” + how to choose the best Coach for You and please let me know what you think. Have any ideas, please share them with us below. Perhaps if you are a Coach and are reading, could you give us one or two TIPS on how you help people on their journeys. If you have ever worked with a Coach before, what did you learn in the process? Please share.
