As a wife and a working mum, it can be challenging sometimes to get everything done. From school run to making sure there is home cooked meals, 24 hours can seem like 2 hours in my eye if I am being truthful.
Every one desires clean, clear, well hydrated, well moisturised and balanced skin but not every one knows how to achieve that. In 3 simple steps, I will show you how in this post.
See the illustration below……….
Clear skin + good make up, when you take off your make up, you still have your Clear skin
Bad Skin + good make up, when you take off your make up, you still have your bad skin.
Clear skin / Good skin + good make up, when make up is off, you still have Good Skin / Clear skin.
Which would you rather?
There are just so many reasons to adore vintage jewellery, particularly when it comes to engagement rings. Here are the top five reasons women love vintage engagement rings. They Are Affordable When it comes to price, vintage jewellery wins. While precious and rare rings, certainly fetch a hefty price at auction, there are…More
There’s this popular saying that when life throws lemon at you that you should make lemonade. This was the case of a couple over the weekend. They decided to make lemonade out of the lemon Nature threw at them.
In case you don’t know, there was a heavy down pour of snow in some part of the US for some days. While a lot of people stayed in doors, the couple decided to do their pre-wedding shots in the snow.
Now they are so popular because of the photo shoot.
Stay with me, I am going somewhere with this story because it is not all about their sudden popularity…..
Did you hear or read about them? Check the gorgeous photo here.
It is amazing how worked up about some things we can get, including trying to find the perfect prom dress. It can be particularly so if you live in a small town that has a very limited choice when it comes to shopping; that will limit your amount of available options, immensely. But do not…More
It’s always a little shocking seeing a girl at prom dressed in a suit or pants instead of a dress, but why shouldn’t they? Tomboy-chic always lands up on the best-dressed lists. While it may take some confidence to pull off, there’s no doubt you can garner many compliments. However, finding formal prom dresses that…More
If possible, I would wear white everyday!
That may sound impossible to some but to me, white is always my go to whether dressed up like my look today or dressed down.
Not only does it work magic on my kind of skin but white generally attracts light to the face or illuminates the face. When the face is illuminated, you look fresh, youthful and awake.
When it comes to day time or work outfit, I always look for a ways to “jazz up” or “spice up” my look. I look for statement blouses with ruffles, frills or some kinds of details. And when it comes to skirts, I look for skirts with peek-a- boo details like the pleat on my skirt today.
I am very passionate about good skin and good skin care products. When you have “good skin” (healthy, clean and & clear) you will not necessarily need to wear make up daily. When you don’t wear make up daily, your skin get’s the chance to breathe. Wearing make up daily clogs up your pores.
Many wear so much make up daily because they have something to cover or hide under the make up.
On my last look here, I shared everything you need to know about basics, wardrobe essentials and why wardrobe essentials or wardrobe staples are easy and reliable all season.
My look today is an example of basics on replay!
Basics on reply as in I was wearing the same pieces in both looks and on a different day…..
You can never go wrong with pairing basics. On a day when you don’t know what to wear and no matter what the season is, turn to basics, they never let you down.
Basics are wardrobe staples or essential pieces in a functional wardrobe.
Some of the things I consider basics and I highly recommend that every one should have at least one of each in their closets include a denim, a classic white button down shirt, a black pair of pumps;low or high, a structured blazer and many more basics which you can see in my wardrobe essentials or wardrobe staple here.
Colour for me sets an ambience of elegance, warmth and tranquility. I also gravitate towards colour when I want to feel very youthful and playful.
Colours make my mood light, lifted and they make me feel confident. Depending on the colour, I feel very sexy when wearing bold colours like the one I wore on New Year’s eve.
Happy New Year Everyone !
I welcome you to a brand New Year, the year 2016.
How was 2015 for you? Did you get all you hoped for? If you didn’t, you are not alone. Now, be thankful for what you got and for the things you didn’t get, it is now time to try again.
Give yourself a pat on the back for all you were able to do or achieve, forgive yourself for the mistakes you made and do everything possible not to dwell in your past.
If you need to, forgive yourself, let go, embrace the future and begin to work towards the greatness you have always wanted.
Trust me, you will do well only if you try, only if you don’t give up. Don’t quit, keep trying.
There is greatness inside of you.
I wish you the very best this year.More
Memories they say last forever especially the good ones. Some of such memories are the pieces I have on in this post. It was when I had Daniel, my first son that I got this dress I have on and it was when I had Sammy, my second son that I got the pair of heels I have on and I have had them since then.
How long you may ask? It is been 9 long years for the heels and 11 long years for the dress. Too long right? Because I cherish the memories this these two pieces bring, I will be keeping them forever please God.
A statement coat is one of my favourite things to wear in the winter. I love coats not only because they keep me warm but because most times in winter, our clothes / outfits are buried under our coats when outdoors.
In my humble opinion, wearing statement coats is one of the ways to feel chic and stylish in the winter or colder months.
It is my last day of work before Christmas and honestly if I could have my way I would have been finished by now. All the same, we have to do what we have to do. I know in my mind that it was going to be a short but busy day with last minute rush of shoppers & travellers trying to get home to be with their loved ones. I also had in my mind that there was going to be so much traffic.
On short but busy days like this, I love to spot an all black ensemble. Not only does it flatter the body or make you look slimmer, it is perfect for days when you want to feel like you didn’t try but look well put together.
Every other thing you need to know about black and wearing an all black ensemble and so many different look books can be found here.
The joy of Christmas is the reason why I decided red on red is the way to go for today’s post. Red as we all know is a christmas colour and aside that red symbolises happiness, passion, energy, strength and my favourite is LOVE amongst other things that red represents. This season is all about spending time with the people we love and care about, a time to merry, jolly, give and of course have so much fun.
