Wearing an all black look is not what I shy away from. Black is fab and flattering no matter how you wear it. For a girl who used to wear black a lot a while back, the possibilities of an all black look/ensemble is endless to me.
The last time I shared some TIPS on how to frame/accentuate the face, I suggested that wearing high neck blouses (turtle neck) is one of the best ways to do that. You can learn other ways here.
Not only does the high neck blouse helps to frame the face, it is one of the easiest ways to keep warm when the weather gets colder. Honestly, it is my uniform in the colder months. Any one who knows me would know that about me. Throw on some gloves and jacket and cold will be far away from you.
I count it all joy when I find pieces that could be worn in more than one season. This dress is an example of what I mean. It is perfect for now (fall) and can also be worn when the weather gets colder (Winter).
It is also one of the patterns I love ; houndstooth. I am in that phase now where houndstooth appeals to me. I also paired it with grid here and shred TIPS on how to pair print on print.More
Recently, I listened to J Lo (Jennifer Lopez ) in an interview on good morning Britain where she talked about her insecurities of been judged about her voice for so many years and how she was able to overcome the insecurities.
Who would have thought J Lo feels in secured about anything. A “sexy Latina” who has made the American dream ! Talk about a super star judge on American Idol and so many pointers on her CV.
Listening to that made me wonder if there is anyone who doesn’t have insecurity issues about their body?
The truth is there will always be a part of your body you may not necessarily like. Does that now mean you should chop them off or go under the knife to correct them. Going under the knife is a topic for another day.More
Getting cleaner and clearer skin is way beyond buying the latest and the most expensive beauty products in the market but doing what works.
While a lot of people will immediately think of the 3 step ritual of washing, moisture restoration or toning and finally moisturising of the skin, getting clearer skin is way more than that.
Not that those 3 options or steps aren’t good, I will share with you 5 unusual ways to get cleaner and clearer skin in this post.More
Mixing print on print or pattern on pattern is one of my favourite things to do when it comes to styling. Another is mixing delicate fabrics with tough fabrics to create balance or juxtapositions.
Today, let’s focus on mixing print on print. I have also decided to move Motivation for Monday down to the bottom of the post because some people are only here to read fashion and style and not motivation. If you read my motivation, please read it below. I thank you for reading.
Now back to fashion !More
A must have for me in my makeup regimen is my face/foundation primer because I have a combination skin. Combination skin means that my t-zone gets oily than the rest of my face. To tame the oil, I either use my favourite face primer or I use an oil mattifier. Both of them helps control oiliness or secretion of oil on my face.
Just the same way there is a primer for the face. There is also a primer for the eyes. Today is all about the face/foundation primer and the importance of NOT using the “MOM”, milk of magnesia as a face primer. The use of mom or milk of Magnesia as a face primer seem to be a trend in the beauty community. Today, I am going to share with you few reasons why you should NOT use them as a primer.More
When I embarked on this “blogging journey”, I knew deep down my heart I didn’t know what I was doing. However, I knew a part of me I wanted to share with the world could die inside of me if I didn’t start the journey. Even though I wasn’t clear about how and why, it was my love for fashion and the passion I had to succeed in what ever thing I do that has inspired me to continue since I started. And everyday, the more I put in, the more I get out of it. Would I say it has been easy, NO it hasn’t but it is worth it.More
Distressed denims can sometimes be over the top distressed if there is anything like that. Not only does it…More
