What Price Will You Pay For PURPOSE? ( Motivation)

I attended the Excel Women conference in London about 8days ago and sitting down in that conference, I couldn’t help but think about the price I paid to attend that conference. Not necessarily the monetary aspect of things but going out of my way to actually attend the conference. We had a family holiday planned so I went to England first for the conference and then back to Ireland and then back again on the road again with the family. It was a lot to deal with but hey, I did it. #Notcomplainingjust thankfulthatIcould.

As I sat down there at the conference with about 150+ women, I couldn’t but notice how expectant, “charged” and enthusiastic the women in there were, waiting to learn, connect and “fellowship” with one another. Today, on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, what price will you pay for purpose?

You Can Do This (Motivation for Monday)

In the past couple of weeks, I received many messages than I would normally get. When I read through all these messages and met up with some of the amazing people who wrote to me, I can conclude that a lot of people want more for their lives, want to grow, want to contribute to the society and economy at large, people want to use their gifts to help others and in turn fulfill their own purpose. Today’s blog will encourage someone who is on the cross roads of whether or not to go ahead and start working on the huge burden and desires of their hearts.

5 Fashion Trends Must Have for Summer 2019

Year in year out, we see some trends from the runway that we consider not wearable. I am one of those ones who consider some trends not wearable. Why? For me, before I put my money on any fashion item, I want to be sure that I can wear the piece in multiple different ways. This helps me save money as I don’t need to buy clothes all the time and saves me time too as I would always have what to wear. However, this Spring/Summer, runway fashion came with a bang a.k.a – pieces that everyday girl like myself can wear. So, today, I bring you 5 wearable trends for this Summer. Let’s check it out….

You Are Not What You’ve Been Through (Motivation for Monday)

When we go through challenges in life, a lot of us tend not to see ourselves beyond where we are. We blame ourselves, we belittle ourselves and a lot of times, a lot of us just stay down with no plan of getting up again from our setbacks. Staying down is easy because just anyone can stay down. However, it takes boldness, courage, determination and self-motivation to rise again after a set back. We have to understand that, the only way we can rise again after a setback is that we must do whatever it takes to rise again. Today on motivation for Monday, I am writing to encourage you to see yourself beyond where you are now and what you may have gone through.

SILENT EVERYTHING & LISTEN TO YOU (Motivation for Monday)

It is not so obvious but the same letters that spell the word silent actually spells the word listen. Let me list both words below and what they mean:

SILENT: not speaking. Silence can also mean the lack of audible sound, or the presence of sounds of very low intensity. The word silence can also refer analogously to any absence of communication or hearing, including in media other than speech and music

LISTEN: to make an effort to hear something; be alert and ready to hear something

Today on motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “silent everything and listen to you”

I have been meeting weekly with 5 students (4 boys & a girl) doing leaving cert to encourage and support them on “working REALLY hard” at preparing for their forth coming leaving cert.  When I chat with these children, I use real live approaches to drive important messages home for them. When we met last Sunday, I told them that they should do everything possible so as for them not to be left behind. Today on motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “Don’t be left behind – This is Not Rapture”. It is an interesting one with real life takes on matters and changes happening…..

CLARITY BROUGHT ME HERE :: FROM UNEMPLOYED TO GETTING A MASTERS (Motivation for Monday)

As I prepared for my exams over the holidays, I took on my first two premium “mentees”. They were launching blogs and businesses and needed my help on how to get online – create questionnaires, coin business “terms” together and market products online, send business emails, attract the right clients and on and on….

Sincerely, I didn’t want to take anyone on at the time because I wondered, how on earth would I be able to combine wearing a “mentor’s” hat with exams? BUT? I was confident that I could make it work and so I cracked on….

YOU CAN DO IT (Motivation for Monday)

At one stage or the other in our lives, we all have come up with one thing or the other we think we can do to change our lives or propel our lives forward. We come up with this great concept, vision or idea and then, we fail to follow through because we feel we can’t do it. We come up with all kinds of excuses in the books just not to do anything about that dream….

Today on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage you on what I call, “you can do it”

HOW TO WEAR THE PANTS-SUITS

Think of a formal wear for a man, you think of suits, right? When it comes to the woman, dresses, skirts, fitted shirts and pants + blazer could be regarded to as formal depending on how they are worn. Now, the woman can wear the pants-suits. Hillary Clinton to me is the queen of pants-suits. She wears it well.  Her wardrobe of pants-suit is enviable.

Well, I do not have many pants suits in my closet / wardrobe but today, I have a perfect one to share with you with some STYLING TIPS.

THIS TIME LAST YEAR (Motivation for Monday)

I am writing as I travel on the train this morning and I couldn’t help but to reflect on exactly what I was doing this time last year. This time last year, I was on a flight to England and to keep me busy, I was writing the second draft of my first book, Use What You Have. Use What You Have is a book I wrote on HOW to discover your gifts (purpose), how to own them, embrace them and HOW to fulfill your purpose in life by using your GIFTS.

Although I go to England often, on that particular occasion, I went to England to be with one of my best friends who was having her first baby. In the next few days, I will be back to be with the same friend to join her in the celebration of the birthday of this child that was born this time last year……

WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN TO INVEST IN YOURSELF? (MOTIVATION FOR MONDAY)

The word invest can mean to provide or endow someone or something with (a particular quality or attribute). I am sure my friends who are financial gurus would agree with me that investment can also mean to put (money) into financial schemes, shares, property, or a commercial venture with the expectation of achieving a profit.

Today, I am not talking about buying shares and neither am I talking about buying a property, I am talking about endowing yourself with quality attributes or lifestyle that will yield result.

The LAUNCH OF “USE WHAT YOU HAVE”……..

Sunday evening was “lit”as friends, family, fans, supporters, blog readers, Youtube family and well wishers came to celebrate with me at the unveiling and launch of my book, “Use What You Have“. I was overwhelmed with the love and support on the day. I cried, laughed and eventually jumped for joy, it was amazing.

I woke up at about 4am on the day praying and asking God to take all the glory and He did. It was an amazing event. About 100 people came through to share the moment with me.
