After all the bulk of work I did towards the end of last year and early this year, I decided to take a little break. I went away for 4 nights to relax, unwind and rejuvenate. Before I left, I decided to create another travel vlog because the one I shared last Summer here on the blog was very well received by you. Thanks to everyone who read, I enjoyed reading your kind feedbacks.
Without further ado, today, I bring you my brand new travel hack video and the step by step method I follow when I pack my carry on.
Hack 1: The Life Saving 5 Pieces
We take chances when we check in our bags. Let’s face it, while a lot of bags may not get lost, one in many may be lost or there may be delay in the arrival of your luggage. So, when checking in your luggage, ensure to have a mini bag in your hand bag or carry-on where you can carry very important things like change of undergarment, a blouse or shirt, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush and a mirror. Those are the most important things a woman may need anywhere she goes. At least you can use them till your luggage arrives to stay clean and fresh.
Hack 2: 100ml Maximum
If you are carrying a carry-on on your travel (the cabin size bag), you may or may not know that the maximum amount of gel and liquids allowed in that is 100ml maximum. To make life easier for you when travelling with a carry on, ensure to put all your gels and liquids in a sealable “sandwich” bag. This way, all your liquids and gels are not taken off you at check in because they are too big. That can be annoying and disappointing. Not only that, you may have to spend more to buy all those things again because you would need them.
Hack 3: Belt Off & Pull On Shoes
Metals make a hell of sound / noise when passing through security checks at the airport. If you can, don’t wear a belt with metals. If not you would have to take it off…too much trouble.
And your shoes, if you can, throw on easy pull on. High heels, tall boots, over the knee boots and boots in general unfortunately have to be taken off before passing through security checks. To save you the stress, go for pull on sneakers like the one I wore below….
In the video below, I shared the step and step method I follow when packing my carry on and the bits I brought with me on my last get away. Do check it out and please let me know what you think…
