Summer is an interesting season because you get to explore all kinds of style pieces. A lot of us show off our hot bikini bodies and for people like myself who don’t flaunt “the bod” like that, I try out revealing enough pieces that I love and ones that suit my personal style, lifestyle and person. As we wrap up Summer, today, I want to share with you 10 chic outfits I wore in Summer 2018 and some thank you notes + money talk…..let’s do this………
Outfit Number One ::: Vertical Striped Dress
This one was my most worn outfit in Summer 2018. The moment I unboxed it, I wore it to an evening event. Wore it to a Women’s programme in London and I also wore it for blog photos. I have since worn it again to a work-meeting and I plan to take it to Church soon.

Look Number Two ::: Paper Bag Pants
I absolutely love when a style piece can be dressed up or down. This paper bag pants / trousers is one of those pieces. I wore this pants with another cami with flip-flop in Lagos-Nigeria while I was away because it was just perfect for the hot weather over there. For styling it on the blog, I decided to dress it up with blazer, heels and this cut out cami.

Look Number Three ::: The Black Linen Blouse
This blouse was another piece I loved wearing this Summer. I loved that mere looking at it from the front, it looks plain, bland and boring but by the time I added my own personal touch to it, I took it 200% gorgeousness. I must say, a lot of my blog users mostly come from YouTube, Facebook & by Search Engine. This blouse pulled people in from Instagram. People liked it that much.No matter where you come from, thank you for coming, we love you 🙂

Look Number Four ::: The Maxi Dress
This maxi dress is one of my Nigerian take away. I got this one in one of the luxury brands in Nigeria. It is a dress by a Nigerian Designer called Wana Sambo (that is her brand name not her real name). I wore this one on the blog, then I wore it to a wedding this Summer. It is the perfect Summer dress and I am hoping to have it in my wardrobe for a very long time.

Look Number Five ::: The Travel Blazer
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to travel many times this year. From the very start of the year, I hoped I find opportunity that would allow me travel to share what I know and I got those opportunities this year. I am truly thankful. And each time I flew away, I wore this one blazer. What is not to love about it? It fits well, it has lovely accent and it is navy blue which means no dirt is visible on it.

Look Number Six ::: The Boxy Maxi
For some reason, loose fitting dresses became a thing since last Summer and they will be around again for this AW’18. This dress was one of my go to this Summer. I wore it everywhere, styled in different ways. I wore to Meetings, to Church, to get my car tested for NCT, I wore to run errands, I wore it everywhere. It is just so easy to throw on. I have a feeling it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I enjoyed wearing this dress this Summer.

Look Number Seven ::: The Sequin Shirt
First, I got this shirt from the Men’s department in Zara. This shirt reminds me of what a man can do, a Woman can do it better 🙂 I loved wearing this shirt. I first wore it to a book launch where I was the host on a Sunday night then I wore it for blog photos. I will be wearing it again soon

Look Number Eight ::: The Pleated Rose Dress
This one should have been number one, I swear. This was the dress that brought me to the attention of H&M. If I am being honest, it is one of the most fulfilling things I have experienced as a Blogger. When you do not ask for an opportunity and then they come knocking 🙂 Guys, keep preparing, opportunities will eventually come knocking.
I enjoyed wearing this dress. It is so soft, romantic, girly and so me. Really pretty.

Look Number Nine ::: The Yellow Dress
This yellow dress is almost like my signature dress. I have worn it so many times I can’t count. I also wore it for my graduation in January 2018. That was one of my highlights of the year so far. I am hopeful more great things.

Look Number 10 ::: The Last But Not the Least
This is another dress I truly enjoyed wearing for SS’18. This dress reminded me of very warm chocolate with mocha: that combination is delicious. I loved styling this dress and truly enjoyed wearing it. This one will be coming back to the blog in the Autumn as I plan to style it again for your inspiration.

My Natural Hair
One of the most important things I also enjoyed wearing this Summer is my NATURAL HAIR. I have enjoyed my journey of embracing my natural hair and growing it to where it is now. I am also grateful to be able to share the journey of my hair with many people from different parts of the world who think they can’t grown their own natural hair. It is my honour to share my journey with you and I will continue to do so to help inspire you.
My Favourite Photos
One of my very favourite photo shoot for this Summer was the one below. Not sure why I liked it but the harmonious blend of the colours and the movement are just 2 reasons I could think about.
A special thanks to Claire for capturing all my looks. Sincerely, I don’t know if I could pull all these off without her.
