Although I haven’t shared any of my personal make up videos with you for some time now, I have been having so much fun with make up, especially, eye and cheek make up. Today, I want to share some Summer 2018 make up trends you should try now for Autumn / Winter. These are wearable trends straight from the runway and ones you can create by yourself too. Let’s go…..
Blush Up
Anyone who knows me would know that I love my blushes. A flush of blush on your cheeks would not only make you youthful, it would add a nice dimension and accent to your face leaving you “blushed up”. A lovely Summer 2018 trend to try now is adding a little bit more blush than normal to your cheeks. I have been enjoying this trend of late. If you don’t like blushes, check out the next make up trend below………
I used the Mac’s Raisin Blush to create this look. I also used it on my eyes. If you are on a budget, I have tried the Sleek’s flush blush before and would highly recommend it.
See HERE for How to Apply Your Blush Correctly
Fresh Faced Make Up – Glowing Skin
Roland Mouret is one of my favourite designers and I love his pieces. Mr Mouret took fresh faced make up to another level by using illuminators and highlighters on the high point of the cheeks to create the “perfect glow”. A little glow won’t hurt anyone and if you like “blow up with the glow”, that is even better. A perfect example can be found HERE on Cosmopolitan. I think the model may be my sister 🙂
I used the Sleek’s highlighter palette to create this look. It retails for about $9.99.
Clumpy Lashes
What’s not to love about those long voluminous lashes? Now, it is not just leaving those lashes long, it is all about making your lashes look clumpy. Apply some Mascara, leave it to dry, then apply more and more and more till they become clumpy. If that trend is not for you, just wear your lashes really long. I love Cushnie Et Ochs interpretation of clump lashes on the models at the Summer 2018 fashion week.
Clumpy Lashes – No Falses Lashes
Long Lashes – With False Lashes. Created with Ardelle Whispes Lashes
Frame Your Eyes with Wing Eyeliner
Another lovely make up trend straight from the Summer 2018 cat walk you can try for this Autumn Winter 2018 is winged eyeliner. To achieve this look, load your eyes with thick, black liner and then wing the liner to give you that perfect cat eye. This winged eyeliner trend is been around since forever and now, it is a thing again. Carolina Herrera made magic on the models with this look at fashion week. I created this winged eye liner look with Maybelline Precision Liquid Eye Liner. Retails for $7.99
Red Lips
I haven’t worn colour on my lips for a long time now. This has a lot to do with my lifestyle change but I won’t change anything. So, another Spring/Summer trend to try this Autumn/ Winter is red lips. What’s not to love about red lipstick on your lips. It gives you that boldness, sass, old Hollywood glam and feminine vibe. Nope, I haven’t worn colour for some time now but my favourite bold red will always be my Mac’s Ruby Woo. There are a great selection of red to choose from these days like the Stunna Lip Paint by Fenty Beauty, Lancome ‘Absolu Rouge Sheer Lipstick etc

And those are some Summer 2018 make up trends you can try for this Autumn/Winter 2018. All of them are easy to create with affordable or budget friendly products.
I want to thank you for reading and I do hope you have trying out these trends. If you found this post helpful, do share it with your friends and family.
Much Love, Mojisola

Clumpy lashes and a very blushed look are my two favorite makeup trends. Great post, keep it up!
