When I wrote the article on HOW to choose the best denims and how to care for them, one of my suggestions is for you to invest in one that can stand the test of time; what this means is to choose one that you can wear over and over again.
In this post, I have a styling of one of my favourite denims; if you like, how I have maximised one single denim. I have for you 5 of the ways I have styled them here on the blog. I will also share with you how to feel comfortable styling your own denims in your own way.
Look 1 ::: Denim & Tunic (dressed up & dressed down)
In this look, I paired my denim with a fine cotton tunic which I dressed casually with trainers. The look with the trainers is perfect for running errands and most occasions in the day time.
The dressed up look with the heels is perfect for night time and any occasions where you want to look smart and want to make it look like you didn’t try.

Look 2 ::: Denim & Fringe Bag
For my second paring, I wore my denim with a fringe bag and a long sleeve shirt whose sleeve I rolled up for some laid back vibe. Even though my intention was to look laid back, I still looked dressed up with the heels.
When fringe became a big deal and I didn’t want to be left out, I joined the trend in the most reasonable way I could think of; I bought a fringe bag. Fringe is no more trending, it is now off the shoulder or cold shoulder as its popularly called.
My style tip is always to invest in trends in a subtle way; what I mean is don’t spend so much money on trends. Spending a lot of money on trends is like intentionally throwing money away in my humble opinion. So when buying trends, ensure not to spend so much money because once the season of that trend is over, you are likely to look out of place if you continue to wear a trend that is no more trending.
Look 3 ::: “Unusual Basics”
This look is one of the most recent ways I wore this denim. Honestly, it is one of my personal favourite styling and it has a lot to do with the choice of blouse. I am so happy with the styling because a lot of you left me kind comments saying you enjoyed the styling.
The look is simple yet chic. Modern yet classic, I love it. I paired my denim with a hi-low shirt dress and open toe booties and I finished the look with a tortoise shell glasses.
Fashion TIP today ::: How to Pair your own denims
As you can tell in my choices on all my pairing, I love classic pieces and I also love minimalism. My style advise to you is to always pair your own denims in your own way and the favourite pieces you like. If you like leather with your denim, go for it and if you like fur, go for it and if you are like me who love minimalism, be sure to go for it.
Although there are more than a million ways to pair denims, i say the best way to pair your denim is to pair it the way you love.
Look 4 ::: Denim with Vest and high neck blouse
This was a look i wore around Autumn / Fall. I paired my denim with dark shades on the this occasion. Dark shade as in high neck blouse, vest, heels and choice of purse.
Look 5 ::: Denim & Organza Blouse
And because basics can be boring like I always say, I look for ways to up do simple looks like the military inspired style of this organza blouse from Theory. I absolutely love the details on the blouse.
For this look, I paired my denim with the military style inspired blouse and finished my look with my vamp open toe booties.
Look 6 ::: Denim with Blazer
Even though the title of this post says 5 ways I have worn this one denim, I thought to share another way with a blazer. The blazer is another wardrobe essentials and every one should have at least one. Like I always say, it you are buying your first blazer, it is best to go for a black or white one; that way, you can pair your blazer with a whole lot of looks from your wardrobe.
For this final look, I paired my denim with a frilled detail shirt and tied my look together with a blazer and finished the look with a pair of high heels.
If you like flat, flats will be ideal with this look. If you are a sneakers kind of girl, ditch the heels, roll up your blazer for some casual vibe and finish your own look with sneakers. Sneakers is currently on trend with almost everything. I rocked sneakers here with a dress.
Whether it is a cropped denim, ripped denim or classic denim like the one I have on in this post, the idea is to be creative in your styling and maximise your wardrobe. When you master the art of maximising, you become creating in styling and you save tones of money.

Love the way you styled each look, particularly look #3! The high-low shirt and those shoes definitely make a statement when you walk into a room, or hit the pavement on a mission.
