I may have said it a couple of times here on the blog that one of the things I miss very much about “home” is not been able to wear my ankara print as much as I would love to. I however look for occassions to wear my ankara print to one of which is church.
I wore this ankara dress to church two Sundays ago before I left for England. I wanted to pair my ankara with a formal shirt or regular shirt if you like to create what I call “Afropolitan”. Afropolitan is a mix of western fashion with African fashion.
Hope you are doing well today and are ready for the weekend.
The ankara worn as a dress is of a midi length. I could also wear this particular ankara as a skirt. I would love to share that pairing with you sometime soon.
Since the ankara is bright and bold, I finished the look with brown suede tie side kitten heel pointy toe pump and brown leather watch.
Fashion TIP today !
If you would like to wear try out the ankara print but you think it is too bright for your liking, pair it with a neutral colour like a white or cream shirt to tone down the look. White pairs well with everything, it is the perfect colour neutraliser and of course it illuminate the face.
Another way to neutralise the a busy print like ankara is to wear nude heels. Nude heels are perfect for toning down over the top colours. Check here to learn how to select your perfect nude heels. The one that suits your skin tone.
To see another ankara look in a gorgeous matching set, check here. The one I have on and the one at the link I designed myself.
How do you like my ankara look book today? Have you ever worn the ankara print? WOuld you like to try the print out? Please share your toughts with me below.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. I am always happy to see you. Wishing you a restful weekend. Get some rest, you deserve it.
Much Love, Mojisola.

You wore this so perfectly! I usually shy away from it because of the bold patterns but I would definitely wear it like this
