For today’s look, I decided to go “Afropolitan” for casual Friday!
Afropolitan: a word coined from Africa and a great Greek root-polis which means city. Polis can also mean citizenship.
Just like any other organisation that encourages casual Friday, the corporate organisations in Nigeria allows you to dress down on Fridays. My look today is an example of what the ladies in the corporate world would wear for casual Fridays. Because it is a professional setting, they always have to keep it polished and classy just like I did today.
I am wearing an Ankara blouse given to me by my sister in law, She gave it to me on my last visit to England. I paired the Ankara frilled detail blouse with skinny pants and finished my look with my beige pumps which mixes well with the look like peanut butter and jelly and a sequin detail tribal style oversized clutch.
Although you can now buy the Ankara in a few online stores like Asos, you can get your tailor to custom make the Ankara for you. Get the fabric of your choice, look for the style or design you want and you are one step closer to rocking the Ankara Fabric. Fashion TIP today ::: Purging or De-cluttering
The word purging or de-cluttering is simply used for clearing out your closet of things you do not need anymore.
One of the ways to maximise your closet is for you to purge or de clutter your closet of things you do not need or want anymore. When you purge your closet of things you do not want or need anymore, it will be easy for you to find things you own and you can wear them in numerous ways instead of burying them behind the things you do not need.
There are a few ways you can create a new home for those things you do not need anymore……..
1, Just like my sister in law did, you can give the things you do not need anymore to friends and family.
2, you can sell them to get money back or swap them for other clothes you fancy. A lot of bloggers/Vloggers explore this option.
3, you can give them to charity. I like to explore this option personally.
So when you purge your closet of things you do not need or want anymore, you can create a new home for them or you can recycle them. This week is actually the world recycling week where you bring things you do not need anymore to participating stores like H&M.
When you are thinking of purging or de-cluttering, I hope the above TIPS help you create the perfect home for the things you do not need anymore.
I would love to know what you do with the things you do not need or want anymore, please share them with me in the comments below.
I really want to thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my “Afropolitan” mix of the Ankara fabric and skinny pants. You know I want to hear from you of course, let me know what you think in the comment section below.

Thank you A.
Appreciate the love and feedback. Wishing you a fab week ahead.

This top is so detailed. The coloring, pattern, box pleating and high neck. IT makes you look twice as this is no basic blouse. Paired with that rich pant…. beautiful.
