TWO SEASONS IN STYLE + MOTIVATION FOR MONDAY

When you think of Autumn, you think dull colours like black, navy or even purple or warm tone shades of floral like brown or orange. When you think of summer on the other hand, you think delicate, sheer and breathable fabrics. In today’s post, I decided to mix pieces from two seasons……

On Motivation for Monday, I will share with you one principal that will make you get everything you need in life.

Outfit of the Day ::: Silk Floral Blouse & Wide Leg Pants

Today, I am wearing some of my favourite pieces. This shirt I love a lot. I have worn it with midi skirt HERE and I Paired it with a ripped denim HERE.

For today’s look, I decided to mix an Autumn floral blouse / shirt which is warm in tone and perfect for the season and a wide leg summer pants which is delicate but fresh. The pants are from last season’s collection and I wore it with blazer HERE.  To finish my look, I wore a pointy toe suede pumps. This look is a grown up chic and understated yet, dressy. 

Fashion Tip Today!

Like I said above, I was wearing 2 of my old pieces. The look is another example of maximising your closet. One of my goals on this blog is to teach maximising to perfection. Buying something new all the time does not mean we will look stylish, what will make us look stylish is how we wear what we have.

When you learn the art of maximising, you save so much on clothing. Always remember, you can never save too much.

For someone who is not so tall or petite, this kind of pants will help you elongate your frame.

Motivation for Monday ::: ASK

I love motivation and inspiration that is backed up by Godly and Biblical principles. Here’s why? The bible says, “ASK and it shall be given unto you…..for everyone who asks receives”. I love this scripture because it is applicable to all works of life……..

God loves us and He loves to bless us as his children.  He knows when we have a need or needs. He gives us a lot of times even when we don’t ask him. In some specific cases, He wants us to ask him not because if we don’t ask, he won’t give to us. He just wants us to have that relationship with him. He wants us to fellowship and communicate with him. God keeps his promises, He said, ASK and you will receive……for everyone who asks receive.

This same principle is applicable to life in general. When we need anything, we have to ASK. If we don’t ask, we won’t receive. For example, I need my boss to help me look into my wages because my colleague who works with me gets paid more than I do even though we do the same job. Although, there may be provision for a pay raise for me, until I ask my boss, he may never know I am not happy with my pay.

Another is this;  you need to change your hours at work because now you have “Sarah” and “Junior”, a.k.a 2 children. If you don’t ask, you will not receive.

When you need anything, be it from God or from anyone, you have to learn to ASK. If you don’t ask, you won’t receive. A lot of us also assume that when we ask some things of some people, they won’t do it for us or give it to us. We automatically deny ourselves the chance of getting when we don’t ask. If you ask and don’t don’t get what you want, it will be on record that you have asked and when the time is right you will receive.

Not getting what you want at that moment does not mean you do not deserve what you have asked, it could mean, you should try again or something better is in stock for you or wait…..

What is it you need? Be it from God or from that boss of yours or that friend of yours, ASK because it is when you ask that you can receive. Do not deny yourself the chance of receiving because you didn’t ask.

Now ASK, for anyone who asks receives!
