All fashion trends starts from the catwalks before your favourite high street stores mimic them into an affordable collection for you and I. Now that fashion week (NY, Paris, London, Milan) has come and gone, I spotted some trends which are fun, wearable and super-stylish and today, I will be sharing them with you. So, let’s dive into 7 fashion trends you should try for Fall / Autumn – Winter 2018 – 2019.
Trend One: Shades of Browns
Browns are beautiful and they come in different shades and most importantly, can be worn by all. Many designers (Tods, Chloe, Jacquemus, Fendi and more) showcased the browns and they are readily available for you now in your favourite high street stores. Zara, H&M, Pretty Little Thing and Misguided have a huge collection of Browns to choose from. So wear brown, they look delicious. If you want to take it to sexy, go for browns that suits your own skin tone and you would be hot as you can be. Below are a few ways I have worn browns here on the blog:
Trend Two ::: Checks / Plaids
Checks / plaids were around for last fall and this season, they are back and I tell you, they will be waxing strong till next Fall / Autumn – Winter. The good thing about check is that you can wear them in any style piece you want – you can wear check as a skirt, as a blouse or top and as a coat or anything you fancy. Checks / Plaids also come in different size, prints and fabrics or texture so you have a choice to choose from and how you want to wear the trend. Here is how I wore check last Winter – this by the way was one of my favourite looks:
Trend Three: Statement Jewellery
I featured some statement jewellery on my Facebook and Instagram a couple of weeks back as one of the biggest trends for Summer. Good news, if you have them already, you can wear them again now. Statement jewellery is one of the trends to embrace this Fall/Winter – Autumn 2018 – 2019. Here’s a few way I love to wear statement jewellery:
Layered Bracelets and Earrings. Get full details of this look HERE
Layered Necklace: Paired two separate necklaces together. Get full details of this look HERE
Trend Four ::: Mid Calf Boots
Honestly, I am not a big boots wearer and so I do not have a huge collection of them. However, I love my classic pumps and I can say confidently that I have a very large collection of them and still collecting. So, mid calf boots is another trend to try. The trend is in between cow boy boot and regular boots and they are supposed to stop just below the chunkiest part of your legs – the calf. I have a pair of boots on this blog, just to give you an idea…..
The boots should have that cow boy / riding boots kind of vibe and they should be tall up to your calf. I hope you get the idea….
Trend Five ::: Reds
Another trend that has come to stay is Red. This one is also from Fall / Autumn – Winter 2017 – 2018. You can, wear an all red trouser / pants suit, or an red as separates or mix your red with pinks or purples or blues or with any other colour you fancy. An all red ensemble is perfect not only for Fall / Autumn – Winter but also for the holiday season ahead of us.
Other Big Trends Include:
Wide Shoulder Pads which are 80’s inspired as featured on the runways by on Balenciaga, Balmain and St.Laurent (YSL).
Over Layering as featured by Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Tory Burch
Sophisticated Knit Wear as featured by Dior, Etro, Chirstopher Kane and Prada

Plaid and statement earrings are two of my options for this fall too. BaubleBar makes cute and affordable pieces. Number trend for me is leopard.
Statement jewelry is always a good idea to spice up an outfit.
