HOW TO CHOOSE THE PERFECT BAG FOR YOUR BODY-SIZE

Recently, I got a gorgeous pink Longchamp “le pilage” pouchette in Paris and when I shared the unboxing with you, I said, my only regret is that I should have bought it with a matching bag. Fortunately for me, I do not have to go back to Paris to buy the bag. While searching I found the perfect match for my pouchette on Betty Hemmings Leather bag.

How to Choose the Perfect Bag For Your Size

The “world of bag” is evolving just like fashion is. Although fashion is so fast these days in the sense that when something is trending, before you know it, something else is taking over. Unlike fashion, I believe bags are still traditional in approach when it comes to how you find them in the stores and how people wear them. The “big deal” in bags now are the mini bags.

While mini bags are trending, it is not ideal for all body-sizes. Emphasise on body-size please and not body-shape! Using the simple logic of opposite attracts, let’s check out the ideal bag for your body-size.

Petite Ladies:

The best bag for your my petite ladies are small to medium size bags. An overly big bag will make you look tinier or more petite. This is because the bag will look bigger than you are. We don’t want that.

Tall Ladies:

The best bags for you tall ladies are big bags. This is because you have the height and stature to wear it. You are the direct opposite of the petite ladies. If you wear a small bag, it looks like you are not wearing a bag because your tall frame over shadows the small bag. Go on with the big bags.

It a petite lady wears the bag above, she will look tiny or drawn in the bag. Let’s see the reverse opposite of that: In the picture below, I was wearing a mini bag. Although the bag is meant to be mini or clutch like, it looks almost invisible on me as you can see below:

On choosing the best bags for you, remember, if you are big, go for big bags or your will be evidently bigger while your big looks smaller. And if you are tiny, go for small to medium bags or you will look evidently tiny or petite and your bag bigger.
