Flawless Foundation Routine With NO Primer – Here’s Exactly What I Did

From time to time I love to try out something new and all the time when it works, I share my findings with you. You are very welcome :). As you know already, I do not wear foundation daily so as for my skin to have the chance to breath and also for me not to clog up my pores which can lead to skin dullness and breakouts. However, on days when I do not wear foundations, I wear some primer and then follow with my translucent powder or just my setting powder and then set it with my Mac’s fix plus and off I go for the day. So, I ran out of my foundation primer, the oil-free Lancome La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer Smoothing Effect on a day when I needed to wear foundation so I decided to try out something new and it worked. Let’s checked it out.

I have always known that to take care of others effectively, I have to take care of myself first, this is my own personal philosophy. But sincerely, nobody can give what they don’t have anyways. In caring for me, I focus on taking care of my body, soul and spirit. And for that reason, one of the ways I take care of myself is that I take care of my physical by exercising to stay strong, fit and energetic and NOT necessarily to stay thin……this is a bonus we get when we exercise.

As requested by you, here is my exercise and fitness routine video. Like I said in this week’s motivation, “Eat That Frog” and also in this video, no matter how thin you are, we all need some form of exercise…….

The History and Effectiveness of Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal was first practiced on an experimental basis in the 1970s, according to the skincare community. However, it was not widely accepted as a skincare procedure until the 1990s. In 1998, it became increasingly popular after the publication of an article about it by a Massachusetts General Hospital team. Since then, laser hair removal has continuously risen in popularity. To understand why, you have to examine the nuances of the procedure.

I have been doing my pedicure for a long time now. I would say it became one of my DIY (do it yourself) beauty routines when I moved to Europe. Not only does getting my pedicure done myself save me time, it has saves me tonnes of money. Let’s face it, a round of pedicure costs anywhere between 40 to 60 euros, so if you get pedicure once a month, you would have spent a total of 480 /  720  euros a year. That in my humble opinion is a lot of money especially if you are saving for a specific need or project or simply, if you are on a budget.

Well, you don’t have to worry about paying that much anymore. Today, I have a step by step guide on how you can do your own pedicure by yourself at home. Let’s have a look………

Natural Properties, Uses & Advantages of Shea Butter

I know many of you know Coconut oil and may have tried it at one stage or the other. While coconut oil is easily accessible and can be bought over the shelf even in your local stores, it is possible that you are buying one that is not raw or processed. Another all natural product that is not only good for your skin but for hair, lips and body is Shea Butter.  In this post, I will be sharing all you need to know about the Shea Butter with you.

I shared a little clip of this review on my Instagram page 2 days ago and I am truly honoured about your kind comments and feedback on how well the video was made. Thank you also for your congratulatory messages on our wedding anniversary. Today 26/06, my husband and I celebrate our 15th year wedding anniversary. We are grateful indeed.

It is true that after you’ve have been with someone for a while, you start to think and behave like them. I can say it is true because Efe and I now have so many things in common like – we are both home buddies .i.e. we do not like to go out a lot,  we are truly passionate about giving (I learnt this from my Parents and husband), we love the same smell and fragrances and so many other things, except FOOD. He loves food, I don’t….. 🙂

Well, all that by the way, let’s check out the review of this gorgeous fragrance – Giorgio Armani SÌ Passione. I choose this one as my fragrance for this year’s anniversary and YES, he would be wearing it with me too….

Firstly, thank you all so much for the birthday messages and the blog anniversary well-wishes. My Facebook especially was filled with so much love from many of you. I am grateful.

Good news!. My hair has grown so much that some people saw my husband in Nigeria recently and asked him if that was my natural hair or a wig. YEP, it is my natural hair.

I told you in my first post on What to Know Before You Go Natural that he was the one who encouraged me to go for it. And since then, I have learnt so much on natural hair by reading good books, checking out other people’s hair journey BUT most importantly, paying close attention to my own hair – the later here is the most important thing, as no one size fits all when it comes to natural hair.

The last time I shared a bun tutorial with you, I used my relaxed hair. You can see the tutorial of that perfect sleek bun HERE. Now that my hair is natural (not chemically straightened), I look for protective styling for my it, especially in the Winter when the weather makes my hair dry. Currently, my best protective styling would be those cornrows that I shared HERE but currently, I am wearing box braids and so, today, I will be sharing with you How to Style Box the Braids into an Elegant Bun in 3 minutes…..

Agbani Darego is one of my favourite people in the whole world. For one, she was once a Miss World and secondly, she has an effortless style with class and grace. Every time I see her, she is wearing something minimal with clean lines and very au-natural make up. I just followed her on Instagram actually….

So, I did a Winter beauty favourites and exercise routine video, I uploaded it to YouTube and while I was still there, YouTube fed me a video that matched my tags and the video was that of Agbani. I clicked on it and to my utmost surprise, Agbani shared a beauty secret I am about to share with you today…..

The weather is gone colder now and this means just one thing: dryness of the skin. And if there is anything I do not joke with in all seasons, it would be moisture. I love to moisturise, moisturise and moisturise more. When I did my skin care routine on video featuring my everyday skin care routine, one of my lovely viewers left me a kind comment saying, “sincerely, I can’t figure out how old you are. Your skin is so youthful” 🙂 That made me smile. You can see the video HERE with more comments.

Without further ado, today, I bring you a beauty haul + some skin care TIPS for this season .

Whoever says growing or wearing natural hair is hard has no clue about what they are talking about. Perhaps it is because they didn’t seek knowledge about the subject of natural hair. I am here to assure you that everyone who chooses to, can rock natural hair and can do so gracefully.

My hair has grown tremendously and I am excited to come back and share the growth with you and also share an updated hair care, treatment and maintenance TIPS with you + what I found out about my hair growth and curl pattern.

My children were whispering to themselves as we went through the airport, not that I didn’t know what they were talking about, still I asked them, so, what are you whispering about? They both said together, you know mum. Well, I knew exactly what they were talking about and this was it….each time I go through the airport, I shop perfume and skin care….. If I am not buying after shave for my husband, I am buying perfume for me or skin care…..

On duty free while on our Summer holiday this year, I got the Giorgio Armani Sì and Clinique but because I have done the review of the Clinique for you before HERE, today, I bring you the full review of the Giorgio Armani SÌ

As someone who is transitioning from relaxed (chemical treated hair) to natural hair (kinky hair), protective styling like box braids is what I wear mostly. Box braids are made from kanekalon hair extensions and they can be made long, short and in between; they can also be braided thin, thick and in between….

NATURAL HAIR HACKS (Get Soft, Shiny & Silky Hair)

Hair they say is the crowing glory of the woman. Yep, I totally agree because we all love to make our hair and look fabulous. However, when it comes to natural hair, the information out there is so much and can be overwhelming if I may add. In my previous Hair blog I called “What You Need to Know Before You Go Natural“, I said, your natural hair is like a baby, how I raise mine may not necessarily be how you raise yours; the most important thing is to embrace your hair journey and do what works for you”.

So today, I have some natural hair hacks for you. It is like an update of my own hair journey, products I have been using to get soft and manageable hair, combs I now use and the new hair dryer for natural hair my hairdresser bought for me…

So far, I have shared 2 perfume posts with you. 1, I shared my Summer perfume collection and HOW to buy perfumes cheaper with you, HERE and I also shared 7 ways to make your perfume last longer with you, HERE. Those are blogs you don’t want to miss, catch up on them to get all the “load-down”.

Last year, one of my girlfriends gave me a Burberry perfume. It is the Burberry Brit Rhythm. The moment I tried it on, I fell absolutely in love with it. I have worn the perfume since then, of course along side other ones from my collection. Since she gave me that perfume, I have collected a few more Burberry Perfumes and because they are all so good, today, I bring you my Burberry perfume collection and review + WHY you should try at least one of the ones I have tried.

By the way, did you know that wearing eyelash extensions would make you have bigger, bolder and sexier eyes?

A lot of us at one stage or the other in our lives have had surgery. Some of us call them procedures because they are for correcting one thing or the other in our bodies but truly, they are still surgeries. However the kind of surgery I will be discussing in this post is cosmetic surgery. I haven’t had one before and a lot of you will be surprised to know that I am not against having cosmetic surgeries. The thing I will be most worried about though will be choosing or finding a plastic surgeon
