The weather is gone colder now and this means just one thing: dryness of the skin. And if there is anything I do not joke with in all seasons, it would be moisture. I love to moisturise, moisturise and moisturise more. When I did my skin care routine on video featuring my everyday skin care routine, one of my lovely viewers left me a kind comment saying, “sincerely, I can’t figure out how old you are. Your skin is so youthful” 🙂 That made me smile. You can see the video HERE with more comments.
Without further ado, today, I bring you a beauty haul + some skin care TIPS for this season .
Some Skin Care TIPs for Fall / Winter
Skin care to me is a personal journey. What works for one person may not necessarily work for the other person. So, I would recommend that the most important thing is to embrace your own skin care journey and do what works for you. However, there are some things that could work for us all. They are:
1. Know Your Skin Type
When you know your skin type, it is easy to care for your skin properly. For example, I have a combination skin. This means my t-zone (forehead and nose) gets oily and the other part of my face remains matte. So, know your skin type.
2. Use Products that Work for Your Skin Type
We have established that I have combination skin so I use products formulated for my skin. In my case, I use the Clinique 3-step system as featured in the video I mentioned above. So, use products formulated for your own skin type. Remember, what works for me may not work for you.
3. Follow the 3-Step Skin Care
I mentioned that I use the 3-step system above, what does it mean? It means that:
I wash or Cleanse: step one
I tone or clarify: step two
I moisturise or add moisture to my skin: step three
Another step I follow is that I exfoliate when I need to. Exfoliation removes dead cells from the skin surface to reveal a soft, smooth and fresh skin. I use the Clinique Prep-Start Exfoliating Cleanser for this.
The above 3 is the recommended steps to get “good skin”. Don’t forget to use products formulated for your own skin type. It makes a lot of difference. You do not have to do what I do but what works for you 🙂
4. Exercise
Exercise is not only good for keeping fit. It makes a lot of difference on our skin as well. You burn all the “badness” when you exercise and also you sweat out all the bad stuff from your skin. More so, your blood flow improves when you exercise. Exercise is being proven to have a good effect on the skin. So, exercise.
5. Drink Well. Eat Well.
As we all know, we are what we eat. If you eat well, you would see the effect on your skin. Drinking loads and loads of water is also being proven to have good effect on the skin. Water keeps you hydrated, filled with energy and makes you eat less. Most importantly, drinking water helps you to get good, clear skin.
I am a lover of moisture so these are some beauty things I just got. 5 Items which include, Oils, Creams, Beauty Blotter and more. See my 4 minutes video + more skin care TIPS. You may also find them helpful……
I do hope you enjoyed reading and watching the video. Do take of your skin and you would see the difference. It prevents things like ageing of the skin, keeps fine lines and wrinkles away and keeps you youthful.

Moisture is always good! I find that exfoliating once in a while, gives a serious boost to our skin. Revealing beauty. Thanks for the post!?
Thank you Erica.
Cheers.
Thanks for sharing your skin care tips. I have combination skin too and during the winter it’s always so dry. The climate here can be so hard on your skin. I definitely need to check out that Palmers coconut oil, it looks like the perfect product to use to lock in moisture. Hope you’re having a great start to the week.
