When the only time you have to run around for the holidays is the Christmas week and you have about a million and one things to do, then you have to be smart in your choice of outfit. So, today’s look is an errand look – wearing a boxy-hi low dress with flat boots…..
Outfit of the Day….
For today’s look, I was wearing this boxy easy to throw on hi-low dress. Not only is the dress warm, it is very comfy too. To style this dress, I paired it with an over the knee boot and a baker boy hat completes the look. And to hold all my essentials, I paired the look with this oversized bag….voila, my outfit of the day.
I was Wearing
Cos Dress | Zara Over the Knee Boots | M&S Baker Hat | Zara Bag
Fashion Tip Today!
I am not sure if you can tell easily but I would tell you that a dress like this is not only hard to pull off, it is hard to photograph because it is boxy. So, you must be confident to wear a dress like this. For a lot of people, they would rather wear a fitted dress than wear a loose dress.
So, if you have to wear a dress like this, be sure to choose your actual size because the dress is cut boxy/loose already, so, you do not need to take a size up. Secondly, you can pair this look with any kinds of shoes you want from flip flop to heels. If you want, you can wear your own look with an over the knee boots like I did – I chose this boot so as to keep warm and also to move fast and freely. Finally, and this one I will call an advantage, if you are pregnant, a dress like this would help you from one stage of pregnancy to another. And then, if you plan to eat a lot during the holidays or there after, a dress like this should do the magic of concealing your tummy for you 🙂
Celebrity Style
For the royal wedding in 2011, Victoria Beckham wore her own design. It was a similar high low navy blue dress like the one I have on. she was pregnant with Harper at the time. So, when I say if you are pregnant or plan to eat much during the holidays, a dress like this is good for you, believe me – as you can see below.

I want to thank you so much for stopping by today and for reading. I do hope you liked the look as much as I enjoyed styling it. Before I go, I have to apologise for the lack of new looks recently, I have a line up of outfits but have no photographer to shoot with. Thanks to my sons for photographing this look – they were patient enough with me to shoot this look.
So, are you all set for the holidays? What is / are your plan(s)? Do share with me in the comments below please. Wishing you all a very merry christmas / happy and safe holidays.
Much Love, Mojisola
