Happy New week lovelies and happy bank holiday. To my Nigerian peeps, happy May Day. Hope you are all enjoying your long weekend.
The shift dress is one type of dress a lot of people do not find flattering especially TALL girls like myself.
I however figured out that wearing the shift dress is not as difficult or unflattering as I thought. I found out that the best way to wear them is to ensure that they are not too BOXY. They are not meant to be fitted either.
The design of this particular shift dress was well thought about. The seam / joining on the dress (where the ecru joined the black) sits right on my hip which makes it flattering on my figure. It reminded me of my school uniform in secondary school, will tell you more about it next time.

Fashion TIP today !
When choosing your own shift dress, ensure it isn’t too boxy nor too tight whichever design you choose to go for. I have a link to a bunch of them below ( high and low end).
And for all you petite/short girls, this kind of dress will show off your legs nicely and it will make you look like you are taller than you really are.
If you do not like heels, I styled a different colour but same style of shift dress with flats here.
I paired my shift dress with nude heels and a black coat, a classic trench coat would have worked too. This coat is from the winter collection. And to hold all my essentials, I have my big top handle handy. By the way, that bag is NAVY. Doesn’t look like black?
I have to say though that this shift dress isn’t true to size in case you are interested in buying it. I would normally wear US size 2-4/UK size 6-8 but for this dress, I was wearing US size 6/UK size 10.
Have a fantastic week ahead but most importantly God bless you with his goodness, mercy and love now and always.
Much Love, Mojisola
