The last time I shared some TIPS on how to frame/accentuate the face, I suggested that wearing high neck blouses (turtle neck) is one of the best ways to do that. You can learn other ways here.
Not only does the high neck blouse helps to frame the face, it is one of the easiest ways to keep warm when the weather gets colder. Honestly, it is my uniform in the colder months. Any one who knows me would know that about me. Throw on some gloves and jacket and cold will be far away from you.
Outfit of the Day!
What more can anyone wear when hanging out with boys? A denim and boots to look like the boys right? In case you were wondering what boys ? I am talking about the hubby and our sons. Always glad to go chill with them outdoors.
When I was done playing, I headed out for photos. The weather was even and perfect for photos when we were out for this shoot and the weather wasn’t so cold either.
For this look, I paired my ripped denim with one of my favourite high neck blouses and added some warmth to the colour palette with the scarf. I finished the look with my brown Ralph Lauren boots. Brown and torquoise mix like peanut butter and jelly.
Hope you like the look as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you. And do have fun with your own look 🙂
A Little Motivation | The Things that Are!
As I write this post, I find the joy of GOD manifesting and filling my heart. WHY you may ask ? Not necessarily because I have everything I need or hope for but because I am just focused on the things that are.
A lot of times, we focus on things that are not. In the process of doing that, we forget the things that are.
Instead of focusing on the things that are not, for e.g the job we are yet to get, the partner we are yet to meet or even the money we are yet to make, we should focus on the things that are. For e.g the good health we have, the job we have, the family we have and so on.
When we focus on the things that are, we smile, we are joyful and we have positive attitude towards everything. Our jobs seem easier to do than normal, we see our children as blessings instead of burden, we see our husbands differently than the nagging and demanding husband he is etc. We see things differently and in a better way when we focus on the things that are.
On the other hand, when we focus on the things that are not. We are more likely to be angry, depressed, unsatisfied and sorrowful.
As for me, if I ever have any reason to be down or sad which is inevitable in life, I think about the things that are. For example, my family are well, I have a place to call home and so on. I snap out of any gloomy mood, pray and remain thankful and I see things turning around even if I really didn’t get what I was hoping for.
I encourage you today, this week and forever to always focus on things that are. When we focus on the things that are, the things that are not will begin to happen for us. When we focus on the things that are, we become thankful and expectant for the things we hope to receive/achieve. We gain the strength to go after the things that we want to be.
What would you rather focus on? The things that are that makes you happy or the things that are not, that makes you sad?
I say to you, smile and all will be well with you. The things that are not will eventually be only when we are thankful and focused on the things that are.
I just want to thank you very much for stopping by today. I am always happy to see you here.
Wishing you a fantastic week filled with favour to achieve the things that are not and the attitude to be thankful for the things that are.
Much Love, Mojisola.

Looking good Mojisola. I like this casual side of you. Gives us a glimpse of another side of you. Casual but well fitted. Not to mention, the color scheme is so pretty. I agree, I love a turtleneck knit. It’s just so cozy. It’s like you’re getting a hug the entire day. Weird? Sorry. I also like it because not only does it frame your face, it can also accentuate a beautiful long neck. Fortunate for you, you already have one. I do find that a turtleneck doesn’t work on everyone. Depending on your stature, it can actually make an individual look shorter & not as lean. But that’s just my opinion.
Side-bar, you’ll be happy to know I finally moved by to NYC after a 5 month stay back at home on Long Island. Remember my apt. was flooded….. well I broke my lease and moved out. I moved back in to the same bldg. but saved $300 on my monthly rent simply because it later in the year, instead of moving in during spring. This weekend, pack/unpack. Yikes.

Hi Shosana,
I always ensure to check my spam comments because this one was sent to spam. Glad I did. Yes, I do agree with you beautiful. Turtle neck on a short person is just like wearing a shocker necklace. It makes the person neckless, that is not cute on any woman.
Yes, I am so happy you finally settled in into NYC. Saving $300 is a lot of money, that will buy a nice book shelf or a fancy coffee table + magazine rack. I am happy for you. Congratulations and enjoy your new home.
Much Love, Mojisola
This look is absolutely adorable Mojisola! 🙂

Beautiful photography and wonderful motivational message, Moji. We should indeed focus on the things that are, and live in the NOW. That’s what I’m striving to keep in mind all year. Truly makes for an easier, happier life.
