Hi everyone. Welcome. Hope you all doing well and your week is going great.
Today’s look is all about mixing prints. I wanted a look that was really bold, on trend and classy and this is it. There is nothing wrong in wanting everything in fashion and of course in all areas of life. I love the print on print trend and no one does it better than Solange Knowles, the girl knows how to tell the story of prints.
Mixing print on print can be tricky but when you get it right, your wardrobe has endless possibilities. To guide you on how to mix print on print, below are a few tips.
A few TIPS on how to mix PRINTS.
1, If the colours look good together, the prints will look good together. For e.g black and white go with everything. So if you are not sure, you can mix black and white with everything. As you can see from my own look, I am wearing rose detail skirt and striped top and they work well together.
2, The simpler the graphic is, the better it is to mix. What I mean is the smaller the size of design of your print the easier it will be to match with another print.
3, Spread your print across your look. For example, if you look in the mirror and you feel like a flower, take off one item of print and replace it with a plain one. You can also wear your print on your shoes if it is too much on your body.
4, You can tone your print down with a solid colour. For example, I was wearing a plain blazer but in a solid colour (pink). For this look, a solid blue, a red or even any other solid colour of blazer would work.
5, The most important tip is if you are comfortable with what you are wearing. Go for it. Fashion is supposed to be fun.
