In Winter or colder months, we tend to bury our outfits under some kind of warm clothing. Coats, Ponchos, Capes, Trenches are a few of the outer wears we wear in the Winter.
Today, I bring you 5 different ways to wear the long line coat for your “Stylespiration”. These are some of the ways I have worn this long line coat here on the blog.
Amazingly, anytime I wear this particular coat, I get asked if it is new. NO it is not. I love maximising and I encourage you to do the same. When you master the art of maximising, your clothes look different each time you try a new pairing and you save loads of money because you won’t have to buy when you maximise.
TIPS ON CHOOSING A FLATTERING COAT
I am 5 ft 11 almost and this coat is still below my calf.
When choosing a coat; for petite or not so tall people, choose one that hits your knee. The long line coat on you may be swamp you. I know you may be thinking what if the weather is so cold? I’d say comfort, warmth and style go together:).
If you have to choose one that is at least long enough to keep you warm in the colder months, go for one that is of a medium length so you are not overwhelmed by the length of the coat.
OTHER TIPS TO KNOW
Your body type is also important when choosing the perfect coat for you.
If you have large hips, avoid coats with large pockets on the hip area if you do not wan to draw attention to your hips.
If you have large burst, look for coats with lower openings rather than the ones with higher does high up.
If your do not have defined waist, avoid coats with belted waists.
Now unto the Pairing……..
Pairing 1
I paired the long line coat with a midi knit dress and tie style scarf. Honestly, this is one of my personal favourite look here on Moj in touch.

Pairing 2
I paired denim with a fitted clean crisp white shirt and an oversized bow tie. Nude heels finished the look and the scarf detail on the bag mimics the one on my neck.
Pairing 3
I wore the long line coat belted for cosiness.

Pairing 4
I wore the long line coat with My McQueen Scarf and belt to cinch in the waist.
