As a writer, I challenge my imagination to write different types of blogs. I write fashion, beauty, lifestyle and motivation and more…Not only do I write, I read a lot too. Okay now, once upon a time, I used to think that I do not have the time to READ. I was one of those ones who said things like, once I leave school, that is it, I would never read again. Sounds familiar? I know some of you reading this may have that mindset too 🙂 Not to worry, we all learn daily, only when we give ourselves the chance to learn…..
If you are one of the ones who say things like, once I finish school, I will never read/study again, you are basically saying, I want to stop growing because the day we stop learning or acquiring knowledge, we stop growing or we start dieing…
Today on Motivation for Monday, I want to encourage on something I call, draw the line. Let’ do this……..
Have you ever experienced this before?……….
You wake up in the morning and before you know it, it is evening already. For example, on such days, you go from one un-important thing to another or go from one television station to another even though you know you have important or valuable things that has to be done…..
On such days and every other day in life, you have to learn to draw the line…
In this time and age, there are a lot of things drawing or calling every one’s attention. We decide these are the things we do not want to do, yet we do them or we decide we want to face our own work only to be given more things to do, maybe by other people…
On days like this too, you have to learn to draw the line.
What Does it Mean to Draw the Line?
Drawing the line simply means to say a capital NO to things that do not add value to you, your growth and your life. It is that simple.
How Do You Draw the Line?
1, Make Wise Decisions
Decision making has nothing to do with age. We can be of age and make wrong decisions, sometimes or all the time and we can be as young as 12 and make the right decisions. For example, when I read about Simone Biles, her mother was said to be a drug addict. Simone could have followed her mother’s foot step and then make excuses that that was the only thing she knew. Instead, she choose to be a world champion artistic gymnast.
Making right decisions may not be easy but it is doable with self-discipline, determination and courage. Make that right decision, you will have yourself to thank for it later. The future looks far but it is near. What we do today makes or breaks our tomorrow. Decide to do good things today.
2, You can Change Your Life When You Write
Writing just like reading is one of the most important and powerful habits anyone could have. You do not have to be a writer to write. Here’s what I mean….
Personally on my journey “to become”, writing has rescued me. It is no secret that I have a journal for every area of my life; prayer and spiritual growth, finances, career and relationship and marriage journal. You may think that this is a lot, no it is not a lot. Not having a place to write your thoughts is more expensive because then you have everything on your mind. If you write down your thoughts down in a journal, you feel light, you feel like your have confided in you on paper and you are accountable to yourself.
Journaling or writing down your thoughts does not only help you empty your mind, it also helps you get clarity at some stage about what you may not be sure about. The more you look at what you have written down, the more likely you are to be clear about them. It is also a good way to track down set goals you have achieved.
A research shows that when you think of an idea in your head, it is just an idea until you write it down. When you write your ideas down, it becomes a plan and you are more likely to go chasing after your dreams or plan….
To draw the line, write down your thoughts. It makes a lot of difference in how you see yourself and what you think you deserve.
Even if you do not have any plans or visions or goals, writing could also help you learn to write properly. The “B” part of this point is to set goals. I shared how to set goals a while back. Please check HERE
3, Separate Good from Great
I was conscious not to use good and bad in point and I will tell you why now. I have a list of things below, let’s check them out……
Party too much VS Miss no more classes to get your notes and prepare for studying
I don’t study well VS Take notes and study hard so as to get great results and prepare to have good success.
I watch too much TV VS I turn off TV to grind or work on my visions and goals
Get rid of bad influencers in my life VS Find positive activities to help me be better and do better.
…….I decided not to use bad like I said above because all the things I mentioned above are not necessarily bad even though they may not add value as much. There is a better after good and there is a best after better BUT the best of them all is GREAT. When you draw the line between good and great, you have no choice BUT to be the GREATEST in your chosen field.
My friends, drawing the line may not be as easy BUT it is doable. A while back, I wrote an article on the fine line between fitted and tight dresses and I made an analogy saying that wearing a tight dress could make you look trashy and a fitted dress could make you look classy. While that is not a direct link to this topic, I would say this respectfully that drawing the line is the fine line between those who would do just well in life and those who would do GREAT.
Draw the line. Do GREAT things.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today, for reading and for letting me be your cheerleader. The potential of doing the great things is in you, please explore it.
Sending you God’s love and light this week.

A Little Challenge + I Need Your Help
The Motivation for Monday blog is usually live by 7am on Mondays, I have received inbox messages on Facebook asking where it was. I am sorry about the delay. Unfortunately, the site was attacked with Malware. I had to work with my host providers since 4am to get it restored. Not only did I have to re-write this blog, I had to spend some money. We still have on going work to compete, BUT all is well. I had a nice guy, Aidan, who helped me this morning. Hope you understand.
Please if you experience any challenges while using the site, please, inform me by leaving your comments below or send me an email on mojisola@mojintouch.com. Would appreciate that a lot.

Sorry to hear that you had some trouble with your site. I hope you got things settled, I had no problems with it. Your video worked perfectly and by the way, it was a great reminder to take a moment and reward yourself. I think we often get so busy in life that we forget to stop and look at all that we’ve accomplished. Thanks for sharing with us. I hope you have a great weekend!
