I have had this skirt for some time now but each time I try to wear it, it does not feel quiet right. As for me, when a piece of clothing doesn’t feel right to me at that particular time, I just move unto the next. Do you have that feeling too or I’m I the only one? Back to my outfit of the day! For this look, I wanted a look that is simple yet dressy, this look is an example of one: styling a basic tee in a dressy way.
I paired this scuba peplum hem skirt with a detailed /embellished basic tee and finished the look with a pair of printed heels for accent. For a little “classic glam”, I threw on some pearl earrings and a pop of colour on my lips.

The basic tee is one of the essentials/basics in a functional wardrobe. You can dress them up with heels like I did in this post and you can dress them down with denim and sneakers.
When looking to buy a dressy t-shirt, choose one with embellishments like the one I have on. That embellished feel on your tee shirt makes it look dressier and more expensive. Zara is great for those kinds of tee-shirt
By the way, the colour of the skirt is cobalt blue. That shade of blue is quiet popular this Spring/Summer. I have seen them in stores. You can add this gorgeous blue to your Spring wardrobe, it will be fun.

Nothing basic about this ensemble. This cobalt skirt is gorgeous. I’m a big big fan of this color. It’s stunning on your complexion. As for the tee, not so basic especially with such a pretty decorative embellishment. Really nice pairing.

And I definitely have had pieces I love but didn’t wear because they didn’t feel right (or, more often, because nothing I had felt right to wear with them). With one exception I can think of, I’ve always eventually come up with something to wear with these odd pieces of clothing. One has actually become one of my all-time fave pieces, and it sat in my closet for over a year before I even took the tags off!
