I know we all have those days when all we want to do is NOTHING, even though we have so much to do. Sometimes, this feeling goes on for a day or two. After a day or two, we still don’t feel like doing anything. Meanwhile, there is lots to do. I totally get it. I understand. This kind of feelings happen a lot of times when we have put in all we think we can BUT can’t seem to see any results, green light or breakthroughs……
Let me take you back a bit. One of the things I personally love to do is to look back, not to things I have said good byes to BUT to things like the work I have done like the blogs I have written or how far I have come on my journey to purpose. I do this for 2 reasons: gratitude and strategising……
Recently, I looked back to see some of the blogs from about 2-3 years ago to make reference to them in a new post and I saw how many Blogger-Friends left me comments on those blogs. For some reason, I have stopped seeing them here. Although a lot of times, when I do not see my Blogger-friends / Colleagues in the Blogging world, I write to them to see if they are okay. However before writing to them, I always check to see if their site is still up and running – that is always my first step and then I go ahead to write to them. What I often realise is that, a lot of these Blogger friends of mine have either stopped blogging or have lost faith in blogging or something similar……
I realise that a lot of them are willing but because they can’t see anything happening positively on the blogosphere, they give up. Well, I have this to say, even though the blogosphere has changed and it’s still changing, blogging is still one of the best ways to thrive online. It takes a clear visions to see that…..
Apologies, I couldn’t find a more relevant example but I would relate it to my motivation message today………
You know I started out this blog saying it is possible to be tired while on a journey. Don’t we all? If for any reason we get tired, it is okay to take a little bit of rest and then continue. For example, if I am walking from my home to a specific place to do something important. If while on my way, I get tired and say because I am tired, I won’t continue, it means I have chosen not to get to that place to do that important thing. However, since I am on my way already to this importnat place, whether I choose to go back home or to continue on the journey, I still have to walk. As tired as I may be or as tired as you may be, I think it is best to walk on to do that important thing. Don’t you think?
If You Are on any Journey and You Feel Tired or Weary, Here are a Few Things To Do:
Rest
Rest is one of the things a lot of us overlook. We work, work and work and don’t bother to rest. Guess what, there will always be something to do. There will always be work to be done. If you are tired, rest. Research shows that mentally tired people don’t achieve a lot. Isn’t that just common sense. Life is not how hard you work but how well you are working. Resting is different from giving up. Resting is taking a break while giving up is not continuing on the journey you started.
Listen, I won’t say continue on every journey especially if you are on the wrong path. Even if you are on the wrong path, find a way to navigate to the right route but DON’T QUIT. Quitters don’t win.
Re-Strategise
What is it you are doing wrong? Is there a way to solve this problem? Are there other ways you can do better on the things you are doing now that is not working?
See, I gave example of my Blogger friends earlier. I know one of the reasons why a lot of them quit is not that they do not have time to blog. They did because they do not know what to do to get the results they want. One of the things I did a lot of when I started out on this journey was to ASK QUESTIONS. I emailed people who were ahead of me with my questions. A lot of times, I heard back and the times I didn’t hear back, I wrote someone else BUT the most important thing is that I asked what I didn’t know. It always helps…..
Find out what you can do differently to get the results you want. You do not have to quit. You can re-strategise. Your current business or job or whatever you are doing now isn’t working, don’t quit re-strategise and find what other options are there for you, then follow through to achieve your goal.
Realistic & Exciting Goals
Well, I know I am one who loves to achieve everything I set out to do but sincerely, this is exciting, to want to achieve everything. Very exciting!
However, there is a difference between reality and excitement. Setting short-achievable realistic goals is the best way to eventually get excited. Setting overly non-realistic goals can cause you to get overwhelmed, underachieved and eventually may cause you to break down and then give up, if care is not taken.
Instead of getting overly excited about achieving everything immediately, think of setting achievable “bite-size” goals and then to another one and then another one and this is how to achieve more goals in the long run.
Don’t be weary in doing good.
Well, a lot of us give up when we are almost at the verge of finding break through. Sometime when we go on and on and on and can’t seem to see any light, we then quit. You know I would eventually take you to Church on this post 🙂 The scripture tells us not to be weary in doing good, that in due season, the reward would come. It can also mean, don’t give up on working on your crafts or golas, if you do not give up, you would succeed.
See, I gave those other pointers at the top because it is okay to get tired but it is never-ever okay to quit. Re-strategise if you have to rest if you have to, set realistic goals if you have to BUT NEVER GIVE UP ON THE JOURNEY you started. You reward is coming……

So, don’t drop out of school. Take that exam again. Start that blog again. Launch that business again. Do what you have to do but never give up on your dreams and future.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today and for reading and for letting me cheer you on. Do have a Fabulous week ahead. I would love to read from you, please let me know your thoughts in the comments
Much Love, Mojisola

Happy Monday Moji! It can be easy to get disappointed, distracted and walk away but this is a great reminder to keep pushing forward and not to give up on our goals. Thanks for the great motivation! Hope you have a great week!
