HOW TO COMBAT THE WINTER COLD

It is been dry around here but SO COLD! To help me combat the cold while staying chic, I reached for this long leather gloves I got last year. I have always wanted them so when I saw this pair online, I decided to get them…..getting them was a good decision because they are now my go to this Winter.

So before the details of today’s look. What did you guys think about President Obama’s farewell speech? I got very emotional and I will miss him.

My highlight was when he turned to Michelle and said, Michelle Lavaughn Robinson, girl of the south side, You took a role you didn’t ask for and you made it your own with GRACE, with GRIT, with STYLE and with GOOD HUMOUR…………..(and on and on) and He got emotional.

That was the cutest thing ever. I love love and I love the way Michelle and Barack displayed their love with grace, affection, some PDA(public display affection) and more. They are my favourite couple ever and I will be following their lives outside of the white house.

Outfit of the Day + Fashion TIP today!

For my look today, I wore this sheer detail “mini” skirt with a black turtle neck and to keep me even warmer, I paired the look with a pair of long leather gloves and finished the look with some thigh high boots and my old cape coat. This look is what I call a “cold combater”…….. I didn’t feel an iota of cold in this look I tell you. To keep warm, you can try this kind of look……

The long leather gloves are a great fashion statement and can be worn casually (dressed down) or worn dressed up with a dress to a formal and elegant event like the state dinner, inauguration or swearing-in event and anywhere you want to feel like a lady, dressed up, classy or even like Audrey Hepburn. And if you are one whose fingers are always cold in the Winter, turn to leather gloves, they keep your fingers nice and warm. While it is quiet expensive to get the real leather, they are the best for formal occasions. If Fur leather is what you can lay your hands on, the are equally good enough…just “use what you have”

And for the thigh high boots, if this pair aren’t your cup of tea, you could try the knee high boots or even the ankle boots. Boots are great addition to your Winter wardrobe, not only are they stylish, they keep your legs / feet nice and warm.
