Happy Easter guys and welcome to a brand new week. I haven’t opened a blog like that in a while 🙂 Hope your weekend went well, mine went really well and I’m grateful for everything. Allow me share some of the FAB things I did with you…..
First, I spent time with 12 boys and girls doing leaving cert this year to empower, encourage and motivate them to do their best to be who they want to be and much more covering overcoming setbacks, sticking with your own plan and staying in your own lane and much more. I am really grateful to everyone who came to support this little vision of mine – Julianah Ilori provided all the brunches and prayed for and with the Children, Precious Alli gave a talk on College life and Samuel helped us to revise leaving cert (higher and ordinary level) with the Children. It was really good and the feedback from the Children have been nothing but positive. I am truly pleased and grateful that everything went well. On Sunday, I was at a 50th birthday party with my family and I was the Compere (MC) at the party. It was a very busy but a great weekend for me. Enough about me, I was YOURS? Please share what you did with me in the comments section below….
Time and time again and from my own personal experience, I have come to realise that a lot of us don’t do whatever it takes to keep our dreams alive. Well, more than keeping a dream alive, I realised that a lot of us don’t dream at all, a lot of us dream but don’t dream big and a lot of us dream but we kill our own dreams because we think they are not good enough and on and on. Today, I am here to tell you that you must do whatever it takes to keep your dreams alive and encourage you on some ways to do that….
You see, I have always been the child who would step up to take up a challenge – be it to go represent our school in a debate competition or to join the press club, I was always the one. If everyone would not raise up their hands to go, I always did.
See, about 2 years ago, “our Children” didn’t do well in their leaving cert. This was a pain in my heart and God told me right then and there that something had to be done. At the time I was getting my Masters and was really busy trying to sort myself out. So, I decided once I finished my programme, I would take this up and make it my own passion project. Last year, I started working with the Children from my Church who did leaving cert, – supporting them, meeting up with them, following up with them, encouraging them, cheering them on and more. To God be the glory, they all did well and went straight to College. This year, I prayed about this and the Spirit of God told me to help more Children. So, I went ahead to book a conference room in the Hotel where I did my book launch, told a few people about my vision and the rest they say is history. Last Saturday, we had a great event helping 12 Children. They were all happy, inspired and are so excited about their future and taking their leaving cert…..
Now, I am looking forward to doing this again, next year, helping more children.
PS: In life, purpose could be born out of a problem we see around us. If we follow through, this may be what God has called us to do in life….
Here are a Few Things That Can help You Keep Your Dream Alive:
I wanted to write this post today because this is the season of resurrection. So, if your dreams are dead, now is the time to bring them back to life. Here are a few tips that could help:
Know That Your Dreams Are Good Enough
A lot of times, we are the ones who talk ourselves out of our dreams. We sabotage our dreams by thinking they are not good enough or someone else is doing what we dream to do, or this is too much or too big for us or this is not even possible and on and on.
Let me tell you, your dreams are good enough and there is NO ONE person in this world who would do what you dream to do like YOU. You are unique and your uniqueness will make you stand out when you pursue that dream.
You Must Nurture that Dream
No matter how scared you are about that dream you have, you must nurture it. Your dream may not happen immediately but no matter how long it takes, you must prayerfully nurture it. Here are a few things to do:
- Write down your dreams – you could journal it or put it on your vision board.
- Prayer about your dreams. Speak life to that dream.
- Put it in a place where you can see it every day. This helps you keep your dream alive.
- Make moves on how you can achieve that dream.
No matter what you do or no matter how long it takes for you to achieve that dream, please do keep it alive. I couldn’t go ahead to help those Children immediately as soon as I got the Vision, but I wrote that dream down and as soon as the time was good for me, I went ahead to start working on that dream. God be praised the dream has now come to pass and it will be kept alive forever by working with more Children.

You Will always Find Help If You Seek It
First, I had a dream to gather children together to empower them, let me tell you, that is a big dream because, 1. it will cost me money (can I afford it was supposed to be an obstacle), 2. It will cost me time, (can I make the time out of my very busy life was supposed to be another obstacle) and 3. Who would help me were a few things that came to mind BUT as soon as I booked that hotel, God took care of every other thing. People came on board to support, some encouraged me and cheered me on….…. You see, help will always come to fulfill our dreams if we seek it. It is on us to seek that help.
Find the Right Support System
A lot of times in life, when we have a dream, we are likely to share that dream with someone or a group of people. Let’s face it straight, not everyone will help you or support you and this is WHY you MUST find the right support system. Here are few things that would help:
- Don’t share your dreams with everyone, not all of them will believe in you or support you.
- Find the right people who would inspire, motivate and support you to go ahead to work on that dream
- Take good counsel, they will help you to achieve your dreams.
Whatever You Do, Work on that Dream
Your dream could be anything at all – launch your own business, go back to school, travel round the world, buy a house, mentor a group of people and your dream could be anything at all.
No matter what your dream is, do your best to keep the dream alive and go ahead to work on those dreams. My prayer for you today is that the same spirit that woke Jesus up from the dead will resurrect every dead dream in your life. IJMN. Amen.

Wishing you and your family and happy Easter and Much Love this season.
