When you are “dark skin”, you can get away with virtually any kinds of skin disorder from skin pigmentation to black heads, facial spots or redness or even pimples. However, if your are light skin or fair, your spot is easily noticeable or obvious. Whether dark skin or light skin, today, I have for you WHY your spots are so visible.
Why Your Spots are so Visible
1, one of the most popular ones is wrong treatment:
Once in a while, I break out myself. 1, Occasionally when I am on my period, I have one or two spots. 2, When I am excessively stressed or worked up. Breaking out is not the issue. The treatment you use in treating your break out is the issue.
I see a lot of people use topical cream like Skinneal or Funbact A. to treat pimples or break out with the hope that they clear up. Unfortunately, this creams don’t clear spots up and then your skin lightens up with continued use. When your skin is light, your spots becomes more visible and dark.
By the way, topical creams are not supposed to be used without Doctor’s prescriptions and they are not ideal for continued use.
Aside those topical creams I mentioned above, do your best not to use anything harsh on your face especially when you break out. This will irritate your skin and would leave you dark spots as well.
2, If you won’t stop popping or bursting the break out / Pimples:
This reminds me of my brother. My mother would tape his fingers so he doesn’t get the chance to suck his thumb as a chid. The young boy always had his way around removing the plaster and then go ahead to suck that thumb. What I am saying is this…….
If you can tape your fingers so you don’t pop or burst your pimples. When you keep “bursting” and “popping”, it leaves you dark spot which can be annoying and hard to treat.
How to Prevent Dark Spots
While it is impossible to not have them once in a while, they can be prevented. So to prevent dark spots, try:
1, Stop popping or bursting the pimples
2, Don’t use topical creams: If you have to, consult a Doctor. Topical skin thins out your skin which makes your skin susceptible to breaking out / more pimpkes. Are you surprised? 🙂
3, Use good skin care that is formulated for your skin type: Try the 3 step system. It prevents your skin from going bad. Just like any other thing in life, the more you care for your skin, the better your skin will be. You can also exfoliate your skin which will remove excess oil and impurities from your skin.
4, Exercise: you can basically sweat off your bad skin. When you exercise, you do not break out as much. You burn excess fat / oil in the body which could make you break out.
5, Drink water: water hydrates your skin and helps your skin to be clearer. It is recommended to drink up to 8 glasses of water daily.
6, You are what you eat: if you keep eating junk, you will have junk on your face. Be mindful of what you put in your mouth. Makes a lot of difference.
Those are some of my tips for preventing spots and for treating them. I hope you found them helpful. Thank you so much for reading and for sharing.

Great post Moji.
Those topical creams are not controlled enough, I believe they should not be sold without prescription.
