Good bargain is one of the things I look out for at the end of every season. I avail of all the reductions going on both online and in store to pick out pieces that will work well with the things I already have in my closet.
I am not an impulse shopper so I plan, I save if I have to and buy the things I really need.
Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with buying what you want, you can always get a treat, I do too but I believe you can never save too much money. Instead of spending it on what you don’t need or A WANT, SAVE it, it will come in handy at some stage.
The other thing I have learnt about shopping on impulse is that in most cases, those things just end up sitting in your wardrobe/closet. If you really need something, you will be wearing it almost immediately when you buy it.
Finally, I also know that clothes and shoes don’t appreciate in value.
What’s the point on buying what you don’t need then start looking for ways to sell them?
So sale shouldn’t be a reason to buy what you don’t need a.k.a waste money but sale is a good way to buy what you REALLY NEED. If you do not know how to shop, check here for my easy guide to shopping and if you do not know how to buy the best of sale, check here.
Before you buy anything on sale, ask your self the following……
Is this item or items my personal style?
Does it work for my body or does it fit me?
Will I still like it in 6 months?
Am I buying it because it is on trend or on sale or because I just want it?
Does it work for my lifestyle?
Can I wear it in more than one way and to many occasions?
If you answer NO to more than 3 of the above, I “highly suggest” that you do not buy the item. It may be a bad bargain!
I got this Kimono style belted trench on sale recently. It is one of those pieces you can easily throw on and go. It is a piece that is versatile and I would love to share more ways of wearing it soon. It is quiet similar to the Victoria Beckham dress I wore here
The trench is effortlessly chic so I didn’t have to do so much to it. I threw on a pair of panty holes/tights and a pair of patent leather heels finished my look. For accessories, I wore my tri-tone earrings and an over sized pair of sunglasses.
Fashion TIP today !
In the post here and here, I shared ways to transition to fall / Autumn
Another way to transition to fall is by pairing your summer pieces with warmer pieces like a pair of panty holes/tights.
Even though this kimono style jacket is a summer piece, I have made it wearable for Autumn/Fall by pairing it with a some panty holes.
Like I said in my first paragraph above, I bought this coat because it will work with things I already have in my closet. So as the weather gets colder, I will share another way to wear this gorgeous coat with more warmer pieces. Can’t wait to share it with you.
I hope you like my shopping and fashion TIPS for today. Please share your shopping tips with me in the comments below, I will love to read them.
As always, I want to thank you very much for stopping by today. I am always very happy to see you here.
Wishing you a fantastic day today.
Much Love, Mojisola.

Oh what a fabulous piece! It’s elegant, classic and chic. Over the last couple of years I find myself buying clothes that are more versatile and not because they are on sale… I found impulse purchases always end up taking up more clutter in my closet and rarely get used. Which is just wasted money in the end.

I love this striking coat! It’s so beautiful and sharp. It looks amazing on you. And the photo with the red underside of the heels adds just the right touch of color. Have a fun week, Mojisola!
