SALE BUY :::: FANCY COAT & DISTRESSED DENIM

I know I am not the only one who buys things “for keeps” when they go on sale. Correct me if I am wrong, you do it too right? 🙂 🙂

I got this “fancy coat” on sale last Winter after I purged my closet of the things I do not need anymore. I got it for a fraction of the original price. This kind of purchase is what I consider good bargain. See my post on GOOD BARGAIN, you will learn a thing or two.

If you have been reading the blog for some time, you know that I like to plan before buying and that was why I wrote a blog on HOW TO BAG THE BEST OF SALE. It was the same guideline I shared in that post that I followed to buy this fancy coat.

For my look today, I played with textures on the upper half of my body. The blouse I wore inside the fancy coat  is sheer and soft. To balance the sheerness with warmth, I layered up with my fancy coat. Trust me, I had 2 layers before that sheer blouse. It was cold when we did these photos but not crazy cold. I choose this denim for my pairing today because the ripped bit has similar colour as the blouse and coat. To finish my look, I wore a nude pair of pumps which also matches or works with my colour story today and voila, my outfit of the day….#ootd.

It is no secret that I have a “big forehead”  but I love it and I embrace it because it is a part of me.

My “big forehead” is the reason why I like pulling my hair back.

If that big forehead does not remind anyone of Sade Adu, it sure reminds me of her and how talented she is.

Fashion TIP today ::: Embrace Your Features !

As you can see I mentioned my “big forehead” above. A lot of times when people begin to remind us of some features on our bodies they don’t like or they think is not perfect, we unconsciously begin to believe them.

Sometimes, it is what others see as insecurities because of what society expects that become our insecurities. The truth be told, it is the constant reminder of that bit about us that make us feel insecure about ourselves.

I have come to realise that a lot of people actually want that bit of us we do not necessary embrace about ourselves.

As you can see, I am embracing my forehead and I love it very much.

What is that bit about your body that you don’t like or you think is not good enough?
