When we go through challenges in life, a lot of us tend not to see ourselves beyond where we are. We blame ourselves, we belittle ourselves and a lot of times, a lot of us just stay down with no plan of getting up again from our setbacks. Staying down is easy because just anyone can stay down. However, it takes boldness, courage, determination and self-motivation to rise again after a set back. We have to understand that, the only way we can rise again after a setback is that we must do whatever it takes to rise again. Today on motivation for Monday, I am writing to encourage you to see yourself beyond where you are now and what you may have gone through.
By now you would know that I am not one of those people who come online and sugarcoat my life because I feature fantastic clothes here on the blog. Far from it, my life is not perfect and this is why I share my struggles, and then good success with you to encourage you. Right now, I am grateful for where I am and what I have got. Before I got here, life seem to me very unkind, I couldn’t find a job even though I have relevant degrees and qualifications and then, I couldn’t monetise my blog even though I show up everyday and work hard at it BUT NOW, I have both boxes ticked – a job I am happy to wake up, dress up and go to everyday and a blog that has provided me so many great opportunities – bestselling books, speaking engagements, personal styling and business consultation and so many collaborations and sponsorships. Guess what, before I got here, I almost gave up but in my mind, I knew I could do this and so, I stuck around a little bit longer. If you think you are what you are going through now or what you’ve been through, here are a few things that would help:
1. What is Working
A lot of times, when things are not going as planned and we can see apparently that this thing won’t work, a lot of us don’t change that thing or change direction because a lot of us hate change. We want to continue to do the same thing but expect different results – that doesn’t work and life doesn’t work that way. Okay? If you are doing anything at all and something doesn’t seem to be working, figure out what is working and then what is not working and then, strategically get rid of what is not working, be sure to learn from your mistakes too. When you let go of what is not working, you make room for what could work. Give yourself the chance to try a new thing – one that could work.
2. Don’t Be Hard on Yourself
Okay, at one point or the other, we have all failed before. May I respectfully say if you have not failed at anything, you probably have not taken any risks before. If you ever try anything and fail at it, don’t be hard on yourself. If not for anything, give yourself the credit for trying in the first place. If you have failed at anything, even if the failure is caused by your own carelessness or mistakes, don’t be too hard on yourself. Forgive yourself and rise above your mistakes. When you do, you are able to try again.
3. You Can Ask For Help
This point may sound like a broken record but I have to share it again still. You see, many of us are afraid to ask questions because of fear of being judged or turned down. See, if you do not ask, you would most certainly not receive. If you are struggling at anything, don’t be afraid to ask for help or ask questions from people who know. Yes, you want to try it on your own but don’t suffer in silence, don’t suffer in shame and pain and don’t just keep quiet. Keeping quiet will lead you nowhere and would not give you answers to what you don’t know. You may not know this but everytime God gives you a dream, vision or an idea, He prepares helpers for you who would be willing to help you if you ask them. If you do not find those people God has destined to help you and ask them for help, you would not achieve what you desire to achieve. So, never be afraid it ask for help because it is okay to ask for help. So, ASK FOR HELP!
4. All Things Are Possible
We could use strategies, we could hire a Coach, we could ask questions from those who know or from professionals but sincerely, the best helper who could help us step up after a step back is the Father. When people say, this won’t work or this can’t be, the scripture says, with God all things are possible. No matter what you have been through or what you are going through now, call on the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and LISTEN to His will, direction and plan for your life and then take action, you will be surprised that things will begin to fall into place, you will begin to connect with the right people, you will find the right opportunities or the right opportunities will find you and you will stop being stuck in the past. With God, all things are possible, so call on Him and he will answer you. His promise is, when we call on Him in time of trouble, He will answer us. So, don’t slip on this one, very important because with God, all things are possible.

I want to thank you so much for stopping by today and for reading. I do hope you were inspired and I hope you realise that you are not what you have been through or what you are currently going through. Believe me, when I tell you that all things will eventually work for your good. I have been there and have done that and to God be the glory, all things eventually worked for my good. So, hang in there, all things will eventually work for your good because God’s plan for you is good and not evil and it will bring you to an expected end.
Do take care and have an awesome week.
Much Love, Mojisola

Very inspiring. We tend to want to fix things by ourselves instead of reaching out. Fortunately, mental health has been given more awareness in recent years and that stigma of only crazy people going to therapy has died down.
This is very helpful and I am always happy to read from you every Monday.
God bless
XOXO
