This weather is not a problem, it is a challenge!
Today I will talk you through that on motivation for Monday but first, the look. Today is all about double the colour for Autumn. How was your weekend beautiful people. Mine was packed….in a good way though.
Outfit of the Day ::: Rose detail skirt & Burst of Colours
For my look today, I wanted to have fun with colours for this fine Autumn and this is it. For the look, I paired my old pencil skirt which I first wore here with a polo neck blouse and to keep me warm and stylish (2 in 1), I threw on my short coat loosely on my shoulder. This look is classic chic and can take you from day to night.
For your own look, you can throw on some tights or panty hose if you want. It was cold on the day we shot this look but wasn’t unbearable and because my upper body was warm enough, I was just fine.
Fashion TIP Today ::: Solid Colours
I love black and white and I look for different ways to wear them. Although black and white can be “bland”, adding a pop of colour on your look will make it fun and bright. As you can see in the picture above, I wore a solid colour (fuchsia pink) with my black and white skirt and both blended well like peanut butter and jelly.
Also in the picture below, you will notice that I decided to throw on some more colour unto my look to make it even brighter. Pink and blue blends well so it works with the black and white mixed with pink.
Have fun with any solid colours you fancy. Break the rules, be you and wear whatever you want to wear. I am hopeful I can share more vibrant colours for this AW. Stay with me on the blog so you don’t miss a thing.
Motivation For Monday ::: It’s A Challenge, Not a Problem
The boys (my sons) tackle “2 words, 5 sentences” daily. 2 words, 5 sentences simply means they make 5 sentences each out of 2 words.
They have a choice of doing it before they go to school in the morning while waiting for me to get ready or after their homework. I recently shared some of the words Sammy, the younger son wrote about the word “positive” on my personal Facebook. We are having so much fun with doing this “ritual” daily. Specifically we do it on Monday to Friday and we play at the weekend. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy right?
Recently, we had to compare Challenge with Problem.
When you think of a challenge you think of something you can rise up to, stand up for, tackle and so on.
On the other hand when you think of a problem, you think of something you are afraid of, difficult situation, something messed up, stumbling block, predicament or drawback etc.
You can see the difference between the two. When dealing with life crisis or a situation, how do you see it? Do you see it as a challenge or do you see it as a problem? When you see it as a challenge, you are already psyching yourself up to be able to rise to it or tackle it. When you describe it as a problem, you are saying invariably that you are scared, can’t handle it and you will be panicking.
Now, change that mindset of it is a problem to it is a challenge because you rise up to challenges but you panic when it is a problem. My boys have now learnt to use the word challenge instead of problem. It is more appealing to say, “mum we have a challenge”. And together, we rise up to it. Problems causes fear, challenges, keep you on your toes till you get it sorted.
I pray for you today that God will give you the strength to rise above your challenges. Amen. Don’t forget, it is not a problem, it is a challenge.
