There is something so special about mixing gold with black, it is almost like a “marriage match-made in the heaven of fashion”. Today, I bring a styling or lookbook featuring an all black ensemble with gold accent. I know you would like it too..
Outfit of the Day: All Black with Gold Accent
I love wearing an all black ensemble be it casually or dressed up, especially as a daytime look. Even though I love wearing all black, all black look can be too plain, too boring, too bland, too dark and just generally lifeless. However, if worn well, an all black look can look chic, classy and very elegant.
For my look today, I was wearing a fun skirt with a heavy linen blouse with bold details on the back. To add some accent to my look, I paired the all black look with a gold double GG belt and to continue that story of gold and black, I paired the look with gold and black suede pumps and completed the look with a gold and black purse.
To see more details of the look with close shot of the details of each pieces featured in the look, please check out the 2 minutes video below where I did a voice over narration of the look and some styling TIPS as usual.
Styling TIP Today!
I have to say, this is not the only way to wear an all black ensemble. With your all black ensemble, you can add colours like red, pink, white or any other pop of colour that you fancy.
Another interesting way to add dimension to your all black look is to use texture which I also did in with this look. My skirt was made out of heavy polyester while my blouse was made out of heavy linen. Then I wore a pair of suede heels to complete my look. You see, I used texture, yet the look blended really well, if I can say so myself.
When it comes to wearing black, you are limitless. You can have as much fun as possible with your look. So, go on and have some fun with your look.
I was wearing: Edit the Brand Skirt | Zara Linen Blouse (details as seen in the video) | Gucci Double G Belt | Dune Suede Pumps
