Every Monday on this blog, I write to encourage and inspire you to be who you were called to be and I do that by sharing my own story repeatedly and truthfully highlighting why I started the things I do now, what I have achieved, where I am now and where I truly want to go. Today is not different because I will be sharing to encourage you. As I finished servicing my Facebook page last Saturday, Facebook fed me with this powerful post I felt truly connected with and I thought to share it with you. So, today’s motivation is half mine and half someone else’s. I will be sure to credit the original writer – Temi Koleowo…..
YOU’RE WORTHY!!
Settle this in your mind. Some people are going to reject your upbringing, ideas, personality, beliefs, social status, profession, proposal, friendship, interests, what you write and even your jokes. But guess what, it does NOT define your worth. It only defines their perspective and inability to identify diamond in the dirt.
As far back as I can remember I had a morbid fear of rejection, which resulted in the inability to step out and do great things for many years.
After redundancy a few years back, I was fed up of letting opportunities pass me by, so I coined this mantra and surrended to God to set me free. Then I remembered, even Jesus was rejected. Once I woke up, I’ve been taking bold steps and creating pathways ?
Focus and spend your energy on your ideas and those who embrace your worth and cheer for you to go higher.
Make a commitment to yourself that you’ll no longer allow the fear of rejection stop you from expressing and packaging your passion.
We’re waiting!!!!!
The above was written by Temi Koleowo. Temi is an Idea Catalyst. She turns your ideas, passion and thoughts into viable products and services
My Own Thoughts Today
I had to share the above with you because it reminded me of what I share with you here every week. Just like Temi, I waited till I was made redundant before I started turning my passion and ideas into products and services. I allowed my ideas go to waste and many opportunities passed me by, I allowed myself to settle for less than I was worth and I allowed what people would think of me stop me. And for most of us, it is the same thing. Does this sound like you?
Since I woke up, I humbly say here are a few of the things I have done:
Spoke at many formal conferences / corporate events including Google
Wrote bestselling books
Wrote digital courses to help people get unstuck – find their purpose by using their God Given Gifts
Wrote and taught Mastercalsses
Influence many people daily from different parts of the world with the contents I create
So, YOU, yes you reading this, don’t wait till you are laid off before you start doing the things that truly matter to you. I am telling you, don’t wait.
And if you are in pain right now. If you are stuck in a rut – unsettled, made redundant, broken, broke or not sure where to turn, here’s good news for you. Look well in your pain, there is purpose right in there……
Many people may not know that the title of my first book was exactly what God told me. When I was made redundant, I didn’t know what to do and didn’t know where to turn and unfortunately, I didn’t see anyone who would help or support me, so, I turned to God and what I heard in my spirit was “Use What You Have”. Then, I started using my God Given Gifts and Ideas from then, I began to discover who I truly am and each step I took led to somewhere good and gold for me. The journey hasn’t been easy BUT I wouldn’t change it for anything.
Friends, don’t wait or care about what anyone thinks or feels about your ideas or visions, start doing what matters to you. Start running the race that has being designed for your life by God and stop looking or running after people who would not believe in you, support or encourage you. Encourage yourself and rise to be who you were called to be.
We (the world) are waiting on you!!!
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today and for reading. Please continue to go after your dreams. As you continue to move, your way will continue to clear up for you to thread upon. Whatever you do, MOVE. Never forget that in your pain, there is purpose. Look well, in that pain, there is solution to problems, ideas that needs to be given birth to and many great things you have inside of you to share with the world. Don’t waste that pain, there is purpose in it.
If you are having any challenges or can’t find your way, please don’t suffer in silence. You can reach out to me for Clarity Call or reach out to Temi she can help you as well.
Do have an awesome day. Wishing you strength to go after the life you want to lead.
Much Love, Mojisola
