You are all in for a triple treat today because I have the outfit of the day, styling tips + the luxury fashion brands I bought from Nigeria. On this blog, you would learn, how cropped denim can make you look curvier than you really are and how to prevent that. Also, when I went away, I checked out some departmental stores in Nigeria and today, I will be sharing the few things I got with you……
Outfit of the Day ::: Crop Denim & Golden Top
When I shared one of the photos for this post on my Instagram, someone left me a comment saying I looked like fresh dodo. Sincerely, that comment made me smile because as casual as this blouse is, I love it very much….
By the way, for the sake of my non Nigerian friends, Dodo means plantain. It is like bananas but have to be boiled or fried before eating, It is delicious, a perfect snack or meal.
For my look today, I paired my cropped denim with this asymmetric and boxy golden top with large pearl detail and finished the look with nude/ beige pumps….voila, my outfit of the day. For this look, I created juxtapositions (balance) by pairing a fitted jeans with loose blouse.
Fashion TIP Today!
I have shared how to choose the perfect cropped pants / denim with you before. If you missed it, please check HERE. See, cropped denim has the natural tendency of making you look curvier, this is because they are short. Anything long, especially trousers would elongate your legs or body frame.
If you are not as tall, be careful with cropped denim, you may look shorter and curvier. To help you elongate your legs when wearing cropped denim, try wearing heels…..
To look naturally long and lean, a full length pants or denim is way to go. See what I mean below compared to the cropped denim………..
Details of Today’s Look
I was wearing: Stradivarus Denim | Zara Pearl Blouse | Christian Louboutin Corneille 100mm | Ray Ban Glasses (glasses borrowed from Claire on the photoshoot, because of the sun) | YSL Nude Lipstick mixed with Lancome Juicy Tube as Reviewed in full HERE
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today and for reading. I do hope you enjoyed the look and the fashion TIPS. Please share your thoughts with me in the comments below.
Much Love, Mojisola
