The modern minimalism has to do with playing with layering and different textures.

Today, I will share with you different ways of styling the modern minimalism trend. I will show you styling on the slip dress, tailored pieces and the wrap skirt.

THE SLIP DRESS

The slip dress was first championed by Calvin Klien in the 90s. The silk slip dress this days are more polished, less provocative and with endless possibilities

Mere looking at the slip dress, it looks boring but with a few trial and error, you could style the dress in multiple ways. It is versatile in my humble opinion and you can dress it up or down.

For a day time and casual look, layer a classic white shirt on the slip dress and knot it at the front for a trendy and interesting look. The knot also adds definition to the look.

For an  evening look, layer your slip dress on a cigarette pant and finish your look with a blazer hanging loosely on your shoulder. Finish the look with minimal sandals and oversized clutch. Use gold accents for effect.

MODERN TAILORING

This is essential in every ones wardrobe. It works for every occasion. When you wear clean and well tailored look, it makes you look/feel even more powerful.

The wide leg pants are not restrictive or tight in any way. It makes you free so to say. Ditch the regular blazer and style wide leg pants with a long line soft coat. Finish your look with minimal heels and clutch.

You can also wear Culottes for a fresh and modern spin on the minimalism trend. Pair your culottes with flat pumps and a shoulder bag.

THE WRAP SKIRT

This is one of my favourite selection for the modern minimalism trend. This white one is so fun and edgy. Wear it casually with a long line shirt or any white shirt and a slide for a casual look. I wore a coloured mini wrap skirt here

You can also wear your wrap skirt with mules for elegance at the night time. Tie your trench around your waist like a belt. You can also wear it. Finish your look with a clutch. See a similar look I wore here
