The first time I had the saying; "are you living to work or are you working to live", I took a moment to look at my own life. I asked so many questions and ponder on so many things. Most importantly, I have taken a bold step of working to live. It is a bold step I must say but it is worth it.
A lot of us actually fall into the category of living to work. We work, we make money and we pay bills upon bills. We continue in the same cycle each and every passing week, month and year. A lot of us do the same thing without living a little.
Living a little shouldn’t be too expensive. It could be a simple thing like getting a pedicure , buying gorgeous lingerie or going to get a drink with your friends or even lodging in a nice hotel over the bank holiday weekend.
Living a little could also be fulfilling a long life ambition of visiting some where spectacular or an ambition of maybe writing a fun novel. While a lot of us think about this things, we can’t just bring our selves to do them because we worry so much about paying bills. We say things like what if I ?
The honest reality of live is that there will always be bills to pay so it is important to live a little. It is also very important that while living a little to ensure to live within your means. Don’t go out for drinks on your credit card because you will pay back and most definitely with interest. Live a little but do it wisely.
There’s no better way to talk about living a little than in a glamourous way like this look I have on if I do say so myself.
Black and white is always my go to so I look for different ways to wear them whether casually, to work, magazine style or like this look I have on.
I paired my fish tail maxi skirt with a lace detail peplum blouse and finished my look with subtle make up and my hair down. A girl has to let her hair down sometimes right ?
This look is a typical example of mixing high end with low end/high street. I have always talked about my dilemma of not finding skirts/pants that are long enough and my rescue is always to settle for high end pieces. Even though they could be pricey, this one is actually worth it because it is a piece that will last for a long time. The fabric is gorgeous, pictures don’t do it justice.
Talking about hair, in case you are wondering if I have taken off my Tina Turner inspired hair style, no I haven’t. This pictures were taken before I got the new hair done. I almost forgot about them.
This TIP may be helpful for bloggers who use photos. One of the ways I maximise my pictures is that I reuse them. For e.g I used this picture above to create an entire blog talking about how you can make your waist look slimmer without wearing body magic. You can read it here if you missed it.
Fashion TIP today !
Black and white could be “bland” so you can“jazz up” your look with a pop of colour. Your pop of colour doesn’t have to be red all the time. Think outside of the box and add fun colours like neon, fuchsia or even cobalt blue. See here for full article on what is pop of colour?
Living or living a little is something I would highly recommend. It is best for you and your mental health. What is live without living ?
I want to know your thoughts about working to live or living to work. Where do your belong? Please share your thoughts with me in the comments below.
And how do you add some fun to your black and white ? Let me know in the comments below please.
