If you are following me on Instagram, you may have seen that I went to London as soon as I got back from Lagos. I love London – the architecture, the structures, the energy, the transportation system, the people, the fashion, the food and on and on. What’s not to love about London? If you haven’t visited London, please do, you would like it.
If I have to move to anywhere in the world aside Paris and NewYork, it would be London, although expensive, there are a lot of opportunities there for me. Since this is an option I have been toying with for a while, I have now found a moving company who can help me move with one-thousand-percent ease.
Moving Tips & Why You Need a Moving Company
A research shows that after divorce, moving is one of the most stressful journeys to embark on especially when you are moving to a new country. If you have ever moved homes or businesses in the same country or locally, you probably know how uniquely challenging that can be. Whether moving locally or internationally and to make life easier for you, here are some moving TIPS to try and why you need a moving company.
Hire a Reputable Moving Company
Moving companies are experienced, professional and they do all your moving worrying for you. While a lot of us think it would cost an arm and a leg to hire a moving company, it is not always the case. For example, I thought parking my car at the long-term stay at the airport would cost a fortune when I travel, I realised thinking it would cost an arm and a leg was a typical myth. I didn’t cost much and it made my life easier on arrival.
So, when moving be it your business or your home, reach out to a moving company and enjoy professionalism in packing, moving, unpacking and arrangement of your valuables for you. And guess what? Professional moving companies do what they say they would do.
Reputable moving companies help keep your mind at ease because you would enjoy the luxury of your valuables been intact when you arrive at your new spot.
De-Clutter First
You know when you live or do business in a place, you become familiar with the spot and you begin to acquire and keep stuff in the place. Before you move, de-clutter .i.e get rid of some of the things you don’t need. What I mean is, if you don’t need it or them in the new place you are moving to, get rid of them. This is a good way to start fresh in your new spot without any clutter or unwanted stuffs.
Also when you de-clutter, it makes it easier for your moving company to move your valuables easily for you to your new place. And for the new place, although a lot of times when you move to a new place, the place is clean already but it would be nice for the new place to be clean to your taste before your movers arrive with your stuff. That way, they move in your things straight up. Makes life easy for YOU and for THEM too.
Ask For Help
Like I said from the start, moving is one of the most uniquely challenging things to do. If moving, you do not have to suffer in silence.
Ask for help from friends and family – ask if they can help with other important things like minding your children, if you have children or dropping you launches when moving starts and on and on.
You can also ask for helpful advice and resources from your moving company because they are professionals and know exactly what to do when moving. Ask them for help and tips and you just might save yourself the stress and hassle that comes with moving.
Moving is Not Cheap Physically & Finanacially
Imagine lifting heavy stuff from your home by yourself and having to do the same thing when you arrive in your new spot? Listen, you do not want to accidentally break a bone or your back when moving. My best advice is to use your money to buy yourself comfort so you do not have to start dealing with sore back or pain that may come with lifting heavy stuff while moving. Instead of doing it yourself and stressing up, consider hiring a moving company.
When it comes to moving especially for work. Most companies pay relocation allowance. Some up to 20K depending on where you are moving to. Be sure to ask for this kinds of allowances to help ease movement for you. This may be handy also to sort out your moving company fees as well.
Dress the Part
Of course you want your moving company to do all your worrying for you but you still have to be involved in the move so you can give instructions on how you want them to help you. To look the part, comfort is key. Wear comfortable easy to move around in clothes when moving. See example below…..
Those are some of my moving tips and why you need a moving company ideas. I do hope you find them helpful. Have you ever moved from one place to another locally or internationally and did you use a moving company? And finally, what is your best moving tip? Please share them in the comments below.
