SELF BELIEVE! THE REASON WHY I MIX MOTIVATION WITH FASHION (Motivation for Monday)

Not once, not twice and not even three times have I written blogs on the reason-WHY you must BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, IN YOU, IN THE POWER OF YOUR DREAMS and most importantly, in YOUR GIFTS!

Initially, when I started this journey of “banking” on my gift of encouragement and maximising it, I must confess, I was afraid because I do not carry titles like “Coach” or “Mentor” and I do not even consider myself a “Leader”. However, I stepped back a bit and I approached the throne of grace with boldness to ask God how He wanted me to do it. And I got answers. Answers like do not be afraid and just go ahead to do what I have placed in your heart and so I continued…….

Today, on Motivation for Monday, I want to share with you the power of believing in YOU……..

Not too long ago, precisely on the 12th of June, on this blog, I wrote on This Journey Called Purpose and rounding up on that blog, I mentioned Myles Monroe and his definition of leadership. I wrote that because I was trying to drive a message home. Just this week, God honoured me this way…….

I got both testimonials in one week. One week!

 
And I couldn’t stop smiling because I know sincerely in my heart, I have worked really hard and tirelessly doing exactly what I know how to do only. I have not cut corners, I have only believed in the power of my dreams, the power in me and in the power of my gift and most importantly, what God has in stock for me.

Today, like any other day, I have come to encourage you to BELIEVE in the power of your dreams and in the POWER OF YOUR GIFTS.

Listen, you do not have to be sure like myself when you start out BUT the word believe makes the difference. What does it mean? To BELIEVE means to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so.

It can also mean to have confidence in the assertions of (a person)………..

“To have confidence in the assertions of a person”, that person should be YOU. Believe in YOU. You can do great things. You can quit settling for less. You can quit doing crap jobs and go on to great things. You can go back to college even if you were a drop out. You can launch a business or ministry even though there are many business or ministries like yours out their in the market already. You can mix motivation with fashion and thrive at it, yes you can. You can do you. You can do GREAT things and You can be who God has called you to be.

Back to that image above, I had no idea that Myles Monroe had a book on GIFTS until I uploaded mine to Amazon. I then checked round to see what books were listed in the same category as mine and I saw it. Guess what, I bought it and I read it. The one thing I could say to myself was, THANK GOD I WROTE this book. When I read Myles Monroe’s book, I thought I was reading my book, it had the same flavour of God’s wisdom with a touch of different individual journeys and life stories. I am grateful indeed.
 
My journey to being who God has called me to be has just started. I will pay the price, I will make sacrifices and I will BELIEVE. What will you do? 

And finally, even though Fashion is not directly linked to inspiration / motivation, I BELIEVED I could do both and be a success. I am grateful that both of them are working as you can see in the feedback / testimonial above which I got in the same week.

Remember, God rewards us when we exercise our Faith. He gives us hope when we step out in BELIEVE and He gives us Good Success, only when we work on our bit. Also remember this God’s promise that,  “your gifts will make room for you and bring you before GREAT men”. It may not look as though BUT my GIFT OF WRITING has brought me in the same categorisation with great men, one, Myles Monroe. Although I saw it myself, I am grateful that someone else, a total stranger pointed it out to me 🙂 I like it so much! It gave me courage to work harder….this are the kind of things that happens when YOU BELIEVE IN YOU.

The question is not in the title that you carry, the question is, will you do what God has placed in your heart. WILL YOU BELIEVE?

I say to you today, prayerfully step out in Faith and BELIEVE and do what is in your heart. In doing so, you build confidence and you grow. In doing what we believe in, we may not get the result we want in one day, one week or in one year, BUT the result will NEVER tarry. It will come, be persistent, be consistent and BELIEVE.
